Subtract five years from each female age. 2. Determine the difference between resulting ages (table below). 3. Deduct the number of years shown in table below from age of the older person (using female adjustment, if necessary). An example: Suppose a husband is 35 years old and a wife is 29. Using the three tables and following the instructions above we first subtract 5 years from the wife’s age 29, arriving at 24. Then, we determine the difference between the male and female age — it’s 11 years. Instructions tell us, that if the difference in ages is 9 to 12 years, to subtract 4 years from the older age. So, 35 minus 4 equals 31. That’s our joint equal age for the couple. If the couple has a $30,000 mortgage that runs 25 years, their rate for joint mortgage protection is $204.70 (30 x $6.49 = $194.70 + $10.00). For only $204.70 each year, the couple is assured that if either dies before the mortgage is paid off, the survivor receives a check from the William Penn Association for the mortgage balance. The home is kept in the family and the family is kept in the home — mortgage-free. Want more details? Call or Write: PITTSBURGH AREA AGENCY RON ABELS AGENCY 318 E.
