New William Penn Concept of Fraternalism, Service and Insurance Branch 705 Mayville, Wisconsin On March 20th, the Annual Conference of the Wisconsin Fraternal Congress and Wisconsin Chapter, Fraternal Insurance Counselors was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Milwaukee. Gladys and myself appreciate the opportunity to represent the William Penn Association as delegates. During the morning session, the new officers were installed. They include, Fred J. Kundert of the Equitable Reserve Association as President. Mr. David Fiess, of National Mutual Benefit was elected Vice President for the coming year. Ms. Jane C. Waraxa is the new Treasurer as she was this past year. Lorraine L. Pozayt was elected Secretary. A choice of several workshops was available in the afternoon session. The evening session included the banquet highlighted by the “Strings in Stereo”, a youth group of musicians from Appleton, Wisconsin. The address was presented by Kathryn Koob, former Iranian hostage, now with U.S. International Communications Agency’s Foreign Press Center, New York City. I have photographs for you but I regret they are not included with this report and will be sent at a later date. Activities for the year will include Flag Day celebration June 13th with fraternalists attending a Milwaukee Brewer baseball game. Our fall meeting will be held in October at the Mead Inn, Wisconsin Rapids. Fraternally yours, John J. Lippert Branch Manager (Continued from Page 1) PROTECTION PLAN and a new plan for youth which we call FIRST STEP TO A HEAD START. You will find each of them exciting new concepts. Let me call your attention to our SINGLE PREMIUM WHOLE LIFE this time. Enclosed with this issue is a brochure which describes the plan in detail. But, here are some highlights. Only one premium is ever paid for the protection you choose and your protection is guaranteed for the rest of your life. Moreover, all but $10.00 (certificate fee) of the premium you pay is immediately placed in your cash value and is available for emergency use. And, the cash value increases yearlyeven though you pay no more premiums. Remember the $ 1,000 policy you bought at one time in your life? If you bought it in 1 968, or earlier, it is worth only $360 in purchasing power today. That's shameful, but true. A 70 year old we talked with recently asked some questions about the Single Premium Whole Life plan. He asked: “You're telling me that if I give you $6,010.00 that you will give me a fully paid up whole life policy for $ 1 0,000?” We replied, "yes”. He then asked: "And, if I wanted or needed money, you would give me $6,000 in cash value the first year?" Again, we replied, "yes". He then said: "You didn't tell me this, but I know that the one certainty in life is death. I have over $6,000 in a certificate of deposit at my bank. I am earning 11 % interest on the certificate, that's all. If I give William Penn the money, say $6,010, and die, you will give my wife $ 1 0,000. That's a return of $3,990.00 on my money. I can't earn that kind of return in a bank." He bought the Single Premium Whole Life. Take a good look at Single Premium Whole Life for yourself or for your spouse, children or grandchildren. Speaking of children, what a gift to give. Supppose you had a five year old child, or grandchild. Only $570.00, paid only once will purchase a fully paid-up policy for the whole of life. At age 20, the cash value will be $970.00, at age 65 it will be $5,280.00 Ask about SINGLE PREMIUM WHOLE LIFE—today—you will be glad you did. • Our friend and colleague, } Russell H.
