We had sandwiches, soft drinks and door prizes for the children. Each child also received a song book furnished by the Home Office. May you all have a Healthy, Happy, New Year. Mary Miller Branch Secretary Branch 51 Passaic, N.J. Election of Officers of our Branch for 1981 was held on Sunday, December 14, 1980. All outgoing Officers were re-elected to office. They are as follows: President, Andrew Nemeth; Vice President, Sándor Lakatos; Secretary, Ernest Mozer; Treasurer, Frank Zimmerman; Auditors, Mrs. Helen Lakatos and Joseph Baumgartner. Branch 51 Officers for 1981—F. Zimmermann, S. Lakatos, J. Baumgartner, Helen Lakatos, A. Nemeth, E. Mozer and agent Bob Segal. President Andy Nemeth and Branch Manager Ernie Mozer. Our Annual Christmas Party was held right after the election of Officers. The Maranatha Marionettes held the children spellbound by their wonderful performances with the marionettes. Afterwards tne children and their parents sang various Christmas songs. Finally with the singing of Jingle Bells, Santa (Andy Nemeth) Claus appeared to the delight of all the children. He presented them with gifts and afterwards wished all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as he left. Branch 51 children around Christmas tree singing Christmas carols prior to Santa's arrival. In conclusion, refreshments were served to all under the wonderful guidance of the Officers, their wives and loyal Branch members. A truly fraternal afternoon was enjoyed by all present. All the Branch Officers wish to sincerely thank the Home Office for all their wonderful support of our Branch’s Christmas Party. It is this type of help which encourages the Officers of Branch 51 to pitch in and make our Christmas parties the success it is. Seeing all those smiles on the children’s faces was a wonderful reward for all our work putting this party all together. It is hoped that all had a wonderful holiday season and may the New Year bring us happiness, good health and peace on earth.
