Minutes. . . (a) American Men 21/2%, issued from January 1, 1 949 to June 30, 1956, (b) 1941 C.S.O. 21/2%, issued from July 1, 1956 to December 31, 1965. (c) 1958 C.S.O. 2y2%, issued from January 1, 1966 to current date. No dividends are declared on Five (5) and Ten (10) Year Renewable and Convertible Term Certificates. The amount of declared dividend shall be that which is contained in the regular dividend tables of the Association for the respective certificates. 31) The Board next discussed the subject of printing the by-laws as amended and adopted at the last convention. It was moved, seconded and authorized that the Victory Printing Co. of River Rouge, Michigan print the Association's By- Laws. 32) The Board of Directors acknowledged receipt of letters of thanks from the following: Helen Erdeky —Retired Home Office Employee, Candace C. Rusnak, Margaret Ibos, Ethel Katona — Branch 1, E.E. Varga, National Secretary, Hungarian Reformed Federation; Eva Lehoczky — Home Office Employee; Elmer W. Jenkins - Protected Home Life Ins. Co.; American Hungarian Foundation. 33) The Board of Directors acknowledged receipt of the following requests: a) Holhos Gyula 53 year member. b) Branch 132, South Bend, Indiana inviting the Official Family to attend their Testimonial Dinner- Dance, April 19, 1980. c) Rákóczi Foundation, Toronto, Canada requesting our co-operation in supporting their scholarship program. The National Secretary will reply to this letter. 34) Request was received from Steve Petruska, Manager, Branch 8, Johnstown, Pa., requesting a donation to their 75th Anniversary book of St. Emeric's Roman Catholic Church. It was moved, seconded and authorized that a one page greeting be placed in the album. 35) It was moved, seconded and authorized that a letter of appreciation be sent to the Protected Home Life Insurance Co. for the hospitality they extended to our Field Committee. 36) The Protected Home Life Insurance Co. extended an invitation to the William Penn Association to attend a seminar. It was authorized by the Board that our Field Committee, Vice President of Marketing, Stephen Szilagyi, Vice President of Membership, Gus G. Nagy, George Charles, Ernest Bendzsuk and Frances Furedy attend this seminar. 37) It was authorized by the Board of Directors that the following Resolution is adopted pertaining to the awarding of the Illustrious Citation to Mrs. Mary Kolish. RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Mary Kolish, Secretary-Treasurer, Branch 500, Detroit, Michigan has diligently and faithfully served Branch 500 for forty years as a Branch Officer, and WHEREAS, by her long and honorable service, Mrs. Kolish has qualified for the Association's Illustrious Citation, and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors is desirous of recognizing her meritorious service, NOW, THEREFORE, BE AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors in regular quarterly meeting assembled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania this 19th day of March, 1 980, that the ILLUSTRIOUS CITATION be awarded to MRS. MARY KOLISH. 38) The Calvin Synod Conference of the United Church of Christ submitted a request to the Association to support their 1980 Youth Conference. It was moved, seconded and authorized that the Association donate $1,500.00 towards this Youth Conference. 39) Director Steve Lesco informed the Board that Branch 14, Cleveland, Ohio is organizing a soft ball team. He requested financial support for this fraternal activity. It was moved, seconded and authorized that the Branch contribution be matched by the Home Office. 40) The Board directed the Executive Committee to review the Fraternal Fund of the Association and prepare a schedule with rules and regulations whereby, matching monetary assistance shall be allotted to those Branches which sponsor various sport and other fraternal activities at the Branch level. 41) National Vice President, John P. ' Mr. Charles stated he was grateful for the decisions made at this meeting. He feels the Resolution passed yesterday may be a red letter day in achieving that which is close to everyones heart. He will make his recommendation in the greatest confidence for the future. It will not be an easy task, but he feels confident because we are completely supporting him. Mr. Charles reminded us that Easter is coming and is grateful that we have peace, understanding and love in our organization and with that spirit, enjoy Easter with our families at home and pray that his mission to Washington will be successful. 45) Mr. Charles adjourned the meeting at 12:00 noon.
