Radvany called the roll and the following are present: National President Elmer Charles; National Vice Presidents Louis L. Varga and John P. Balia; Directors Frank Bero, Stephen Danko, Zoltán B. Emri, Michael Hegedűs, Albert G. Kertesz, William C. Kohut, Steve Lesco, John T. Lesko, Paul Molocko, Frank J. Radvany, John Sabo, Albert J. Stelkovics, Frank J. Wukovits, Sr.; General Counsel Gay B. Banes and Medical Director Julius Kesseru, M.D. Absent were Director Stephen Lang, Jr. due to illness and Director Joseph Toma who was delegated to attend the funeral of former Director Albert Ibos on behalf of the Association. 5) Medical Director Dr. Julius Kesseru submitted his report from January 1, 1979 to September 30, 1979. The Board acknowledged his report with sincere thanks and appreciation and requested that same be placed in file. 6) Former National Treasurer Julius E. Somogyi thanked the Board for permitting him to be present. He stated he was feeling well and happy to be here. 7) Former National President Julius Macker sends best wishes to the newly elected Board of Directors and National Officers for a successful term of office. 8) Vice President of Membership Services Gus G. Nagy stated the past four years have been eventful. He tried to fulfill his obligations to the best of his ability and pledged to continue to serve the Association in whatever capacity he may be needed. 9) Vice President of Marketing Stephen T. Szilagyi stated he appreciated the trust placed in him when the Association employed him. He tried to serve the Association to the best of his ability and pledged to continue this service for the future in whatever capacity as deemed necessary. 10) The agenda is adopted with the proviso that any matter properly belonging before the meeting may be added later. 1 1) National Vice President Balia nominated President Elmer Charles to serve as Chairman of the Board for the ensuing four years. Mr. Charles accepted the nomination. Mr. Balia asked for nominations from the floor. It was moved, seconded and adopted that nominations be closed and the Secretary to cast one ballot for the unanimous election of Elmer Charles as Chairman of the Board. 12) Mr. Charles thanked the Board for the confidence placed in him. He enjoyed the past four years and he is looking forward to working together with greater challenges for the next four years. He requested everyones full cooperation. Together we will try to make the William Penn Association the greatest Hungarian organization in the world. 13) President Charles turned the gavel over to Vice President Balia at this time. 14) President Elmer Charles nominated Frank J. Radvany as Secretary of the Board. It was moved, seconded and adopted that nominations be closed and the Secretary cast one unanimous ballot for the election of Frank J. Radvany as Secretary of the Board for the next four years. Secretary Frank J. Radvany thanked the President for his kind remarks and he thanked the Board for the confidence placed in him. He pledged to continue to work to the best of his ability for the Association. 15) President Charles recommended and nominated Director Frank Bero and Stephen Danko to serve on the Executive Committee for the ensuing four years. It was moved, seconded and adopted that nominations be closed and the Secretary cast the unanimous ballot for the election of Frank Bero and Stephen Danko to the Executive Committee for the next four years.
