Following the Branch meeting the Children’s Christmas Party was held. Fortunately our weather this year was favorable, therefore we had a wonderful attendance, not like in the past few years when the weather was real bad. All the children had a grand time and the Branch Officers wish to thank all of those members who helped make this a successful get-together. Particularly do we thank the women who baked all of those fine Hungarian pastries namely Mary Udvarnoky, Mary Vasas, Elizabeth Tenk, Katherine Nadasi and the Officers who made all the arrangements and did the necessary purchasing, George Varga, Branch Manager and Marton Nadasi, President. Branch 226 McKeesport, Pa. A BEAUTIFUL HAPPENING . . . We had a beautiful happening in McKeesport on Sunday, October 14, when two of our most honored members—Mrs. Elizabeth Buck, Auditor, and Louis L. Siebert, President, received the Illustrious Member Award at a dinner held in their honor in the ballroom of the Youghiogheny Country Club. The honorees were cited by the Board of Directors of the William Penn Association for their many years of devoted service, both on a Branch and National level. The Association’s elected and appointed Officers and their wives held our two honorees in such high esteem that it was a pleasure to see the large number who came to celebrate with us. In addition, many of the Branch Officers from the Greater Pittsburgh area, together with their wives, also came to share in the celebration. Beautiful Hungarian dinner music, provided by Dorothy and Casey from the Mickey Zenekar, together with the delicious food, and the wonderful feeling of William Penn fellowship, contributed to the elegance of a never-tobe-forgotten affair. Gus G. Nagy Vice President presenting Illustrious Citation to Louis Siebert. 18
