Branch 51 in selling new policies or additional insurance to our members. Should you have any questions please contact him by phone at either 992-6146 or 992-5137. He has been in the insurance business for a long time and has a vast knowledge of all phases of insurance. At our Christmas party, the children were entertained by a clown, “Mr. Giggles” for an hour. His antics kept them laughing! After the entertainment was over, all present joined in the singing of Christmas carols. To the tune of ‘Jingle Bells’ Santa Claus (Steve Klics) made his grand entrance, greeted by the cheers of all the children. Santa then questioned each child what they wanted for Christmas and gave them a gift afterwards. It was very heartwarming to see how the children reacted to Santa, especially the very young ones. Many thanks to the adult members who gave of their time to make our Christmas party the success that it was. It is people like these who will see to it that Branch 51 is around for a long, long time. Many thanks again. Santa and Branch 51 children Vice President Sándor Lakatos, Santa and Mrs. F. Zimmermann and grandaughter. Branch Manager Ernest Mozer, Santa and Branch 51 children. It is hoped that all had a wonderful holiday season and may the New Year hold Happiness, Good Health and Peace for all of us. Fraternally yours, Ernest Mozer Branch Manager Branch 59 Scalp Level, Pa. Branch 59 held it’s annual Christmas Party December 9, 1979. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The children came at 3:00 P.M. They were happy to see each other again. The parents came with the little ones. We had refreshments of sandwiches and soft drinks for everyone. Our President Mr. Joseph Totsky passed out the Christmas Carol Books and the 1980 calendars furnished by the Home Office. Each child received a bag of goodies. We always try to add a small toy in our bag of goodies so the children have something to play with. The children always look forward to this small gift. We also had door prizes for all the children. The following members helped with our Christmas party this year: Joseph Totsky, John Gardy, Mary Miller, and Joan Korch. We wound up the party by taking pictures for the William Penn Life. Until next year we wish you all a Healthy and Prosperous New Year. Mary Miller Branch Secretary Branch 76 Philadelphia, Pa. Our Annual Dinner-Dance held Saturday, November 3rd at the United German Hungarian Club in Neshaminy turned out to be one of the best, sponsored by our Branch. We had a very nice turnout with many new faces among those attending. We received compliments on the delicious dinner served by the U.G.H. Club staff. A congenial and lively atmosphere prevailed throughout the evening. The popular and versatile Turoczi’s Continental Orchestra furnished the pleasing melodies. Among our notable guests were National Directors Frank Radvany and his wife Elsie from Trenton N.J.; Zoltán Emri and his wife Adele from Roebling, N.J.; Michael Hegedűs and his wife Barbara from New Brunswick, N.J.; National Auditor Michael Hrabar and his wife Anne from Perth Amboy, N.J. Professor August Molnár, President of the Hungarian Studies Foundation gave an interesting and enlightening talk on the roles performed by the Fraternal and Educational Societies among the Hungarians in America. Among our old friends attending were Mr. and Mrs. Bela Emri of Roebling, N.J. Branch 22; Mr. and Mrs. John Radvany of Trenton, Branch 13; along with friends from the above and area branches. We also received congenial greetings and best wishes from Mr. Louis Varga, National Director from Bridgeport, Conn. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schmidt of Middleton, Del., along with other members of their family were a pleasant surprise with their presence. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in June. They had a very nice time and look forward to next year’s affair, which will most likely be held Saturday, November 1st, at the same location. Our heartfelt and sincere thanks for the nice turnout from our good friends from the Culture Club in Phoenixville, Pa., and from the Philadelphia Hungarian Club, also everyone who contributed to the success of the affiar with their attendance. It was our pleasure having you and may we enjoy many more affairs together. The William Penn Scholarship Foundation will also benefit from the proceeds.
