(Continued from Page 15) Following the dinner, Reverend Orth gave the family history for the past 50 years and introduced their two children Charles Jr. and Betty Jean, who in turn introduced their own families. The grandchildren presented “GRAND­MA” and “GRANDPA” each in­dividually with beautiful roses. Mr. Wukovits, conveyed the greetings and best wishes on behalf of the William Penn Association National Officers, members of the Board of Directors, the Home Office and Field employees. Introduced also were their family; relatives, Mr. and Mrs. William Papp, (Charles’ sister and brother-in-law). Cousins: Mr. and Mrs. Michael Akai from Demotte, Indiana; Mr. and Mrs. Alex Bogie and family from Lowell, Indiana; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Nozar and family; Michael and Janice Biro (nephew and wife); the original Bridal Party were also introduced: Steve and Betty Falucskai (Steve was Best Man); and Margaret Hermann (Bridesmaid). Mr. Wukovits, elaborated on Mr. Akai’s many years of loyal and dedicated service as Branch Manager of the former Rákóczi Aid Associa­tion, which together with the Verhovay Fraternal Association merged in 1955 and became William Penn Association, emphasizing that Mr. Akai’s success as a true fraternalist and field organizer Charles Akai, Sr., his wife Betty, Director Frank J. Wukovits, Sr. could not have been accomplished without the assistance, sacrifice and encouragement from his wife Betty. After this the master of ceremonies introduced the celebrants CHARLES and BETTY AKAI, each one thanking their children, grandchildren and their families for honoring them on this memorable occasion. They also thanked the relatives and many friends who filled the hall to express their sincere good wishes and greetings to them. Dancing followed till the wee hours of the morning. Frank J. Wukovits, Sr. Director Branch 26 Sharon, Pa. The Children’s Christmas Party was held in the Rec. Room at Oak St., Sharpsville, Pa. on Sunday 16, 1979 at 2:00 P.M. The children and parents and grand­parents were welcomed by President Mrs. Anna Dobay. A more than ex­pected number of children attended. Mrs. Shirley Powell led the children in singing Christmas carols from their new Carol Books. Mrs. Veronica Javens and Mrs. Gizella Kukuda served all of the refreshments—food, cookies, cake, and lunch meats. Santa played by John Kukuda Jr. presented each child with a Christmas Carol Book and a bag with popcorn ball, candy, goodies, and a nice gift. We wish to thank the Home Office for providing financial aid in making this Christmas party a success. Branch 28 Youngstown, Ohio The Children’s Annual Christmas Party was held on December 8th at 2:00 P.M. at Calvin Center Hall. Mike Tomcsak, who was Santa Claus, enter­tained the children with his happy HO­­HO-HO. Jack Palmer showed movies on trains. There were treats of candy and refreshments, and children received gifts of new dollar bills. Children and parents joined in carol singing. A special thanks to the Home Office for their generous check. There was election of Officers at the December meeting. The Officers are: John Bunchy, President; Mike Tom­csak, Vice President; Anna Wash, Secretary-Treasurer; Leslie Wash and John Kaluczky, Auditors; Anna Wash, Reporter. Branch members are asked to attend meetings. We need your support for the coming year. Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, at 7:30 P.M. at Calvin Center, on Mahoning Ave. Branch 28 members again extend their sincere sympathy to Mike Tom­csak on the death of his brother Paul. He passed away on September 29th at the age of 60. May God rest his soul in peace. Mike Tomcsak had a very sad year. He lost his wife Mary September 1 and his brother Joe who was 58, on August 29 and now his brother Paul who was 60 on September 29. Congratulations to Gabriel Nameth who made the Hall of Fame. He was one of four former athletic standouts, inducted into the Lakeland College Hall of Fame. Gabe Nameth, a 1947 graduate, played football under Coach Marius Kregel. Gabe Nameth also attends all Branch meetings, and is ready and capable of assisting you in any in­surance matter. Happy New Year greetings to all! Anna Wash Reporter Branch 51 Passaic, N.J. Election of officers of our Branch for 1980 was held on Sunday, December 9, 1979. As at the recently held National Convention in Pitts­burgh, all our outgoing officers and auditors were re-elected. We must be doing something right! Re-elected were: President, Andrew Nemeth; Vice President, Sándor Lakatos; Treasurer, Frank Zimmermann; Secretary, Ernest J. Mozer, Sr.; Auditors, Helen Lakatos and Joseph Baumgartner. Prior to our Annual Christmas Party for the branch children, Mr. Robert E. Segal was introduced to the member­ship.
