Branch 24 Chicago, Illinois Our Christmas Party was great, even though several of the children couldn’t make it on account of illness. But those present had a great time. President Charles Akai greeted the children and grown ups. He promised all present a good time. He also promised the children Santa was on his way. So until good old Santa arrived, the children and grown ups sang carols from the Carol Books. Santa arrived with presents and goodies for the children. Delicious refreshments were served to all. Sorry to report our President, Charles Akai became ill. Mr. Paul Novak filled in as Santa. He did a great job. Just a reminder to our fellow members. Our meetings are held every second Sunday of each month, 2:30 p.m., at the Ivanhoe Park Field House, 144th Stewart in Riverdale. After each meeting cards and bunco are played and refreshments are served. Please join us. Branch 24 thanks the Home Office for the generous Christmas Party allotment. We are truly grateful.
