"How old are you?" If you ask a little child that question he may hold up three or four fingers to indicate the number of years in his short lifetime. A small child does not mind telling now old he is. Elderly people are usually proud to tell their age, too, expecially when they are beyond 85. Years are like good health. They are important to us only so far as we can use them well. There is no special merit merely in living a long time. The important thing is what we do with those years. On the 21st day of February the William Penn Association is celebrating its 93rd birthday. Yes, we are 93 years young. My friends, aiming in the right direction is the essential first step in the accomplishment of any goal. The 1 3 founding coal miners took an aim in the right directin when in 1 886 in Hazelton, Pennsylvania they founded what now is known as the William Penn Association. Their goal was noble, their aim was true, to provide insurance protection for wives and children of members who were disabled or killed in mine accidents. They were truly concerned for the well-being of their members. They cared for the sick, for the aged and for the disabled members. They built us a society on the principles of brotherly love.
