Vice President Balia presenting Citation on Branch 14's 7 5th Anniversary to President Steven Lesco. behalf of the Branch for the benefit of the William Penn Scholarship Founda­tion which was gratefully accepted. (Editors note: it would be nice if other Branches would follow this example.) Mayor Joseph Dudash of Lakeline Village, presented to President Steve Lesco a plaque commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Branch. Music was furnished by Frank Borisz and his orchestra to tire enjoy­ment of everyone. For the children there was carol sing­ing led by Elizabeth Gallagine. Santa Claus then came (Bob Stypa), who presented each child with a chocolate 75th Anniversary cake and those who worked so hard: Mr. and Mrs. Nick Juhász, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Lesco, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Stypa and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sebesy. Santa, made by Betty Lesco, a silver dollar, popcorn, balloons, gum and all sorts of goodies. Excellent refreshments were served after the ceremony. We wish to thank all of those who helped make this event such a success: Mr. and Mrs. Steve Lesco, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Stypa, Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Juhasz, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sebessy and all the youngsters who helped in setting up things and helping with the serving of food. At the December meeting the elec­tion of Officers for 1978 was held and the following were elected: President: Steve Lesco, Vice Presi­dent: Nicholas Juhasz, Secretary: Susan Maddle, Treasurer: Helen Juhasz, Auditors: Bob Stypa, Julius Juhasz and Bob Lavdis. Sergeant at Arms: Joseph Sebessy. Best wishes to the Officers for a successful year. It was also decided at the December Branch meeting to change the location of the monthly meeting site. Next meeting will be held at Holiday Inn, 271 Wilson Mills Rd., meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month. We hope that the new location will bring more members to the meeting. Branch 1 5 Chicago, III. Our Branch held its annual Harvest Ball which was attended by many Branch Members and their friends. We wish to express our thanks and ap­preciation to all who worked so diligently for the success of the eve­ning. Frank Balogh, President who did all the buying and prepared the fine kolbász, Joseph Hodits and his son Steve for handling the tickets and finances, Joseph Subics and John Racz who served the refreshments. Working so hard in the kitchen under the direction of Vera Kramer were Mrs. Frank Balogh, Helen Farkas, Margaret Bosits and Mary Hodits. Handling the flowers, Mary Galambos, Elizabeth Bergman and Maria Carl. Our thanks also to John Stojka, Joseph Proszenyak and Rose Proszenyak who helped out. In addition to fine food, good music, excellent dancing those in at­tendance were entertained by the Hungarian Youth Dance Group. Directed by Goldie Csiki, these young people put on an excellent show and made our evening successful. We also wish to thank Msgr. Gilbert Mihályi, Pastor of St. Stephen’s Church for providing us the Church Hall at such a reasonable cost. Once again our thanks to all who par­ticipated and particularly to those who worked so hard. Pictured below are the Dancers. On December 11th our Branch held its Annual Childrens Christmas Party at the Sauhammels Hall, 3416 N. Damon Ave., at 3 P.M. It all began with the showing of various cartoons before Santa came. Santa appeared after the films were over and was greeted by the screaming children—he then proceeded to distribute the gifts; games, dolls, candy canes, stockings filled with sweets.
