Bosits, Joe Hódíts, Mr. John Ráz, Santa was Joe Subsits. After all became calm, hot dogs were served by Mrs. Hodits and Mrs. Balogh with all the trimmings. At the bar, soda was served to the children and also refreshments to the parents and others who accompanied the children to the party. About 6:30 the children had departed with a glow in their eyes and well satisfied with the gifts and all they had received. The lights were dimmed and we all left with the thought—what can we do for next year? Joseph Hodits Secretary-T reasurer Branch 16 Perth Amboy, IM.J. Branch 16 held its Christmas Party December 18, 1977 at “Eagle Hall” in Perth Amboy, N.J'. The children, as well as the parents, had a good time. The music was furnished by Mr. John Dubay. His daughter had the children playing games, singing carols and doing dances, like the Hustle, Bunny Hop, Mexican Hat Dance and others. Santa came and refreshments were served. Branch 16 THANKS the Board for increasing the money for the party. Also Branch 16 is changing the meeting place beginning January 17, 1978. Potato chips, pop and a gift were given to each child while the parents enjoyed coffee and cake. Also in December, we held our annual election of officers. Our New Year’s Eve Party, which was held at the Social Club, was a gala celebration. Over 100 people were in attendance to bring in the New Year. The dinner was wonderful as usual and the music was provided by Louis Bela and his gypsies. To highlight the evening, the guests provided the entertainment with soloists, a sing-a-long and a comedy act by two of the waitresses. Didn’t realize we had so much talent among our members! Have a good and prosperous New Year. 1978 will bring many activities for our members. The Champaign Ball will be held on February 11 with music by Frank Boricz and his Continental Orchestra.
