Meetings are held the THIRD Wednesday of the month at 7:30 P.M. at 130 Walters Lane, Springdale, Pa. All members are cordially invited to the meeting and Social Hour which follows. Congratulations are extended to our member, LOU ANTAL, who was reelected President of United Mine Workers of America, District No. 5. We wish him a successful second term in this responsible position. 590 CAPE CORAL, FLA. Preparatory to the William Penn Association applying for a license to operate in the State of Florida, it was necessary that there be at least one Branch organized in that State. Mr. Anthony G. Noel, former President of Branch 76, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania retired to Florida, however, he did not retire from his enthusiasm for William Penn Association. He took on the arduous task of organizing a Branch in Florida and we commend him for his dedication and the many hours he devotes to William Penn Association. The organizational meeting was held February 6, 1977 in Yacht and Racquet Club, 5819 Driftwood Parkway, Cape Coral, Florida. The elected officers are President Mr. Julius Darab, Vice President Frank Sabo, Recording Secretary William Yeager, Treasurer Mrs. Rose Darab, Auditors Irene Redar and William Buck. Meetings will be held quarterly for the time being. Branch Manager is Mr. Anthony G. Noel, P.O. Box 173, Cape Coral, Florida 33904 (813-542-0721). Address of the Secretary is Mr. William Yeager, 95 Le Mans Drive, Naples, Florida 33940 (Phone) 813-775-0866. Any William Penn member residing in the State of Florida can request a transfer to Blanch 530, Cape Coral, Florida by writing or calling Mr. Noel or Mr. Yeager. We look forward to a very active Branch developing in Florida and wish the new Officers success in their endeavors to promote William Penn Association and its fraternal aims and goals. 705 MILWAUKEE, WISC. At the request of the Home Office, Mr. John J. Lippert, Manager of Branch 705 was requested to attend the Wisconsin Fraternal Congress meeting. This is the report Mr. Lippert filed. The meeting was held at the Marriott Inn, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Thursday, March 25th. The program, as usual, was very well planned and highlighted by a speaker from one of our local TV stations, WITI. Mr. Carl Zimmermann spoke on Television’s Moral Responsibility in Programing. 119 people were in attendance, representing member fraternal societies in the Wisconsin Fraternal Congress. The admission of a new fraternal member was voted on and with a unanimous decision, we now include the name of the Greater Beneficial Union of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in this Congress. The Legislative Committee reported that the State of Wisconsin is presently in the process of “cleaning up” certain laws made effective in past legislation. Among the items mentioned, was Bill 194, which would allow for risk sharing by the insurance industry for health protection of the poor and uninsurable. Officers of Branch 590, Cape Coral, Fla. NEWSLETTER 1976 HUNGARY BICENTENNIAL Notes have been received by Betty Baranyi, secretary, and Alexander J. Goydan, president of the Hungarian Bicentennial BUSZ No. 3 committee, from participants of our memorable trip last year. To date we have received letters of intent from 14 of the 43 on our BUSZ. We realize that it is still a little early to hear from everyone and we are expecting more. Since we are tying our reunion, and appropriately so, with the William Penn Bowling Tournament, we would like to urge those planning to attend to arrive at the Hyatt Regency Washington on the 26th, Thursday, if possible, so we can have a night together before the great Social Events of the Bowling Tournament begin on Friday the 27th. Make your reservations through your local branch officer in charge to co-ordinate your plans. We plan to have pictures, music, “LILY,” and gypsys on tape, and more! The election of officers for a 1978 Annual Reunion will also take place. We can have a successful reunion. Keep us informed so we can plan better. Contact Alexander J. Goydan, 802 Everglade Dr., McKeesport, Pa. 15135, (412) 751-8316 or Betty Baranyi, 480 Semple Rd., No. Huntington, Pa. 15642, (412) 751-6899. The new staff of officer's was elected and the President for the coming year will be Mr. Hornsby Mims of the Equitable Reserve Association. Respectfully submitted, John J.
