I appreciate the confidence you have shown in me. This opportunity also allows me to inform you of the new rates for life insurance the Association has adopted. The rates are extremely competitive and dividend projections are the highest in the Association’s history. Because of the high inflation rate, Social Security alone is not suffcient to provide the income necessary for retrement years. Our Retirement Income and Annuity Contracts will provide the additional dollars to help offset this inflationary process. It has been my pleasure to help many individuals with our Tax Sheltered Products, available to those who are self employed or are not currently participating in a pension plan. Our Financial Planning Guide service, is available free, to anyone who wishes to evaluate their current insurance program. We are currently expanding the sales operation in Toledo. Full and part time positions are available for men and women. Should you wish assistance or information regarding any of the above, please call me. My service is yours for the asking—no obligation of course. Sincerely and Fraternally, John A. Zam Branch Mgr. and General Agent 513 E. John Laslo Honored A long time member of the William Penn Association, John Laslo, Mayor of Martins Ferry, Ohio, was honored recently at a Testimonial Dinner. The people of Martins Ferry are proud of the many accomplishments their mayor has brought to their town. JOHN LASLO John Laslo has served for over 18 years in city government. This interest and efforts in behalf of Senior Citizens were rewarded by the citizens of Martins Ferry and Metio Housing in the naming of a 70-unit elderly housing project as the John Laslo Apartments. He has received medals, awards and citations for and on behalf of retarded children, community action programs including Head Start, Housing and Urban Development, National and International Pony Baseball; every civic and service organization to which he belongs or which has a branch in his town or county has awarded him its highest award since he has been mayor. The list of commendations may be endless but not the service and dedication extended to all by John Laslo. We congratulate Mayor Laslo on his tremendous civic achievements and are proud to have him as a member of Branch 40. 13
