CONVENTION BANQUET The social and fraternal highlight of the two and one-half day Convention was the Banquet Tuesday evening, September 9, 1975 in the Pittsburgh Room of the William Penn Hotel. The Banquet was arranged for by the Officers and Directors in honor of the Delegates who were assembled here from many States. Preceding the Dinner there was a social hour during which time many old friendships were renewed and many new friendships made. Included among the guests were Pittsburgh and Allegheny Comity officials and dignitaries. Many Pittsburgh area fraternal benefit societies were well represented. Mr. Elmer Charles, National President greeted the assembled guests on behalf of the Association and wished to each an enjoyable evening. He introduced Mr. Louis L. Varga, Vice President as Toastmaster for the evening. After brief remarks of welcome Mr. Vaiga called upon Rev. Louis Nagy, Superintendent of the Bethlen Home, Ligonier, Pa. to give the Invocation. The audience then sang the National Anthem led by Miss Helen Stipkovits of McKeesport, Pa. After a delicious meal was served and enjoyed by the more than three hundred people present, Toastmaster Varga introduced the dignitaries seated at the head-table. Mr. Andrew Fohl, President St. George Catholic Union, Perth Amboy, N.J., who brought greetings from his Society. Mr. John Radzminsky, President of Greater Pittsburgh Fraternals who brought the good wishes of his fellow Officers and member societies. Thomas J. Foerester Allegheny County Commissioner who spoke on the value of the ethnic groups in developing Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. Leonard C.
