RATNER The Home Office is pleased to an­nounce that Mr.Ira M. Ratner has been appointed General Agent for Fairfield County Connecticut and will work out of the Fairfield Regional Office: 715 Post Road, Fairfield, Conn. 06610, Phone: 255-0405 Mr. Ratner resides at 115 Cherry Hill Drive, Bridgeport, Conn. 06606 with his wife the former Rosalie Rlitzer and one daughter Jodi Yvette. He attended University of Rridgeport, Graduate of Life Underwriters Training Council and career Insurance Agents School. He has had several successful years in the insurance business. Should you need any servicing in connection with your WILLIAM PENN insurance, Mr. Ratner or his staff will be at your service. Periodically Mr. Ratner or his Agents will call upon the members of Branch 1, Bridgeport, Conn, to explain the life and hospital plans available. We wish Mr. Ratner well in his new position and we request the Member­ship to cooperate with him in building our Association membership. 13 Trenton, N. J. Members and friends of Branch 13 spent a most enjoyable evening of fraternal fellowship when they attended the Scholarship Dinner Dance held at the Grand Ballroom on November 3, 1973. The officers and committee worked diligently for this worthwhile cause to make the affair a huge financial success. Director Frank J. Radvany proudly presented a check to the Scholarship Foundation at their last Board Meeting in the amount of $300.00 which was the net proceeds from this affair. The Branch held its regular monthly meeting on Sunday, December 2, 1973 at which time election was conducted for Branch Officers for the year 1974. The following officers were elected: President, Stephen Vechy, Vice- President, Stephen Lestician, Secretary, Elsie H. Radvany, Treasurer, Anthony Beke, and Controller, Joseph Hamari. Our Childrens’ Christmas Party was held on Sunday, December 9, 1973. Director Frank J. Radvany extended Christmas greetings and welcomed everyone present on behalf of the National President, Elmer Charles, National Officers, Directors of the Asso­ciation and Branch 13. A most enjoyable Christmas program was presented by the Irene Parker Dance Studio. Each child received a door prize along with stockings filled with goodies, games, etc. The program was concluded with the serving of refreshments .Branch 13 is very grateful to the Home Office for its generous contribution in making our Christmas party a success. Our regular monthly meetings are held on the 1st Sunday of each month commencing at 2:00 P.M. in the Tren­ton District Office. Elsie H. Radvany Branch Secretary 15 Chicago, 111. The Branch held their Grape Festival October 13 at the Danish American Athletic Club. It turned out to be a great success and everyone had a good time. The homemade pastry was sold out right away by Mrs. M. Hodits, Mrs. M. Bosits, and ,Mrs. C. Kozarits. The cooking was done by Mrs. L. Teklics, Mrs. S. Kiss, Mrs. F. Lakics, Mrs. J. Racs and Mrs. J. Subsits. The bar was handled by their spouses. The Christmas Party was held at the Danish American Athletic Club, 4624 North Pulaski Road, December 9, 1973. The election of officers for the coming season preceded the party. In memory of our dearly departed brothers and sisters, Mrs. Peter Bodnar, Steven Houk, Charles Marks, Steve Ehas, Rudolph Loos and Mrs. Frank Rak, a donation is made to the William Penn Scholarship Foundation. Thank you all, who have helped and participated at our Fall Festival. Branch 15, Chicago, Illinois held its annual Christmas party on December 9, 1973, at the Danish American Athletic Club at 3:00 P.M. Movies were shown again by our secretary, Stephen Hodits. Santa made his usual apperance to the plaudits of all youngsters. Gifts were a plenty — hot dogs and soda were served to the youn­ger generation and refreshments were also available to the parents that accom­panied the children. A picture is being submitted. Santa was Frank Burke, who just became a member of Branch 15. His helpers were Miss Betty Hodits and Mrs. Maura Hodits, who also became a Branch member. Written and submitted by one who arranged all but could not attend because of illness. Joseph Hodits, President 16 Perth Amboy, N. J. Branch 16 held one of its most suc­cessful Christmas Parties on Dec. 9, 1973 at the Fraternal Order of Eagle Hall, Smith Street, Perth Amboy, N.J. The children sang Carols and Christmas Songs. They were entertained by a puppet show put on by Dennis Kowal. Gifts were distributed by Santa Claus. Refreshments were served to the children and their parents. Co-chairmen were Ann Hrabar and Mary Mészáros. Others were Michael Hrabar, Stephen Mészáros, Al Kreger, Gordon Zegan, Stacia Cohorsky, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hrabar, also helping were Frank Hrabar Jr., Nancy Hrabar. Elaine Holinka, Annette Hrabar and Gary Salontai. Officers elected for the year 1974 are; President: Michael Hrabar, Vice president: Stephen Mészáros, Treasurer: A1 Kreger, Secretary: Michael Mirko­­vich, Reporter Ann Hrabar, Auditors: George Mirkovich and Mary Mészáros. Branch 16 will change their meeting to the 3rd Sunday of the month at 3 P.M. at the Fraternal Order of Eagle Hall — 388 Smith Street, Perth Amboy, N.J. Plans are being made for the Annual Dinner Dance of the New Jersey Bran­ches to be held on April 20th, 1974 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Avenel, N.J. Branch 16 will be the host Branch. 6
