Wukovits, Sr., Mr. Peter Hegedűs, Mr. Paul Varga, Mr. Alex J. Horvath and Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Wukovits, Jr. Fraternally yours, Frank J. Wukovits, Sr., Director 189 Alliance, Ohio On December 10th, 1972, Branch 189 held its annual Christmas Party for approximately 100 children in attendance. The program was opened with group singing of traditional Carols, led by Branch Manager Mike Duruttya, Mike Korosy and Mr. Korosy’s daughter, Mrs. Marie Zurbrugg. Mrs. Zurbrugg, with assistance from Diane Korosy, divided the children into two groups and led them in playing of games, with prizes given to the winners. The singing of Jingle Bells, brought forth that “Jolly old Santa Claus,” who as he made his appearance wanted to know if he was at the right place for a party of the William Penn children! With a loud and jolly assurance, from the children, that yes indeed he was at the right place, Santa began his talks with each child as they sat on his knee. With assurance that he will not forget them on Christmas Eve, Santa presented each child with a stocking filled with goodies. After waving a fond good-bye to Santa, played by Mike Korosy, who indeed makes a great Santa, the children enjoyed refreshments of ice cream and cakes. Branch 189 wishes to thank the Home Office for their generous contribution and also to all officers and members who helped to make the party a success. The Executive Board Christmas Steak Dinner was well attended by the Board members and their wives. Branch President-Manager Mike Duruttya welcomed each and every one and wished them all, A Merry Christmas. He complimented John and Ann Barany, our club Managers, on the fine work they are doing in running the club. Our special guests for the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Zurbrugg. Prior to the Election of Officers, which took place, December 17, at the William Penn Hall, Branch Manager Mr. Duruttya offered a moment of silent prayer in memory of John Fulop who died Sunday morning, December 17, 1972.
