The Detroit William Penn Sports and Social Club held its regular election in December 1972 with the follo\ying results: President John P. Vespremi (Director of the Association) ; Vice-President Louis Csordás; Secretary & Treasurer Jolán Lucas (also club reporter) ; Sergeant-atarms Louis Gross. Meetings have been held regularly since the election at the homes of various members, as in the past. One of the nice things which have resulted since the re-organization of the club is that all but a few club members who attended the National Bowling Tour-Seated left to right: Vice President Louis Csordás; Secretary & Treasurer jolan Lucas; President and Director John P. Vespremi. Standing: Dorothy Vespremi; Joseph Demeter; Louis Lucas; June Gross and Sergeantat-arms Louis Gross. nament in Cleveland in May, will have won some prize money, thus justifying one of the original purposes of the club. A summer outing is planned for some Sunday afternoon in August, and after much discussion and many ideas, members accepted the invitation of Vice- President Louis Csordás to hold a Hungarian Luau (or bacon-fry), in his back-yard. Several fund-raising projects have been discussed and the latest one enriched the treasury by some few dollars. A number of members who started the club about 15 years ago are anxious to re-join, since the membership has decided that the original purposes of the sports and social club will again be revived. Contact any present member to find out how you may join. A picture was taken at the June meeting held at the Lucas home. An album is being started to portray the various activities of the club and will be taken from meeting to meeting. On behalf of the Detroit Sports Club, we wish to welcome Mr. William Kovach, District Agent for Detroit, and we hope he will accept our invitation to visit one of our meetings. If you have any prospective member for the William Penn Association, please contact Bill Kovach at the district office in Lincoln Park. Fraternally yours, Jolan Lucas THE FERRET 19 New Brunswick, N.
