He has a smattering of the Hungarian language and he is to be commended for his continued interest in his Hungarian heritage. Our Branch Meetings are being held at the Executive Office of the Parker Printing Co., 163 Albany St., New Brunswick, N.J. — A William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Fund Raising Dinner- Dance is being contemplated. J. is making plans for their 3rd Annual Dinner-Dance. As we reported in the last issue, the affair is planned for Saturday evening, Sept- 22, 1973. There will be a Roast Beef and Stuffed Cabbage dinner, and music for dancing by the very popular Steve Fityere and the Continental Gypsies. We would like to congratulate one of our members, Miss Dorlinda Varga, for qualifying as a recipient again this year of a William Penn Scholarship. Dorlinda is a student at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland. Director Zoltán Emri and his family enjoyed the Cleveland Bowling Tournament and Scholarship Days very much. Zam Appointed General Agent Mr. Elmer Charles, National President is happy to announce the appointment of Mr. John A. Zam as General Agent for the Toledo area. For the time being Mr. Zam will work out of his home located at 445 Richford Drive, Toledo, Ohio 43605, Telephone: (409) 691-8712. Mr. Zam has also been appointed Manager of Branch 27, Toledo, Ohio. He has had 15 years in the life insurance field and is highly qualified to market William Penn certificates. He is married to the former Julia Cluckey and they have a son, John C. and three daughters Mrs. Michael Moose, Mrs. Ronald Smith and Trina Marie Zam. Mr. Zam will be calling on the members of Branch 27 for the purpose of servicing existing William Penn certificates (policies) and at the same time will explain the many life and health coverages offered by the WILLIAM PENN ASSOCIATION. We request all members to be of every assistance to Mr. Zam in his hard task of enrolling new members into the Association. With the appointment of Mr. Zam, on a full time basis, the part-time services of W. Emry Percei have been terminated and all servicing will henceforth be done by General Agent Zam. We welcome Mr. Zam into the William Penn family and wish him many successful years with the Association. 28 Youngstown, Ohio President Jacque Palmer and Ann Wash (Sec.-Treas.) attended the First National Scholarship Dinner-Dance, which was held in the Statler-Hilton Hotel, in Cleveland, Ohio, on the Memorial Day weekend. A very delicious dinner was enjoyed and the music was very special. Jacque Palmer also attended the meeting of the Scholarship Foundation, as a voting member. We extend our heartiest congratulations to our outstanding Magyar, Gus G. Nagy, on his promotion to the rank of Brigadier General. A get well cheer, to Margaret Bunchy, who recently came home from the Hospital. This girl needs her good friends prayers, to help her get back on her feet. Stay with it Margaret, we need you. And our deepest sympathy to John Bunchy, on the death of his brother Joseph of Richmond, Virginia. He played for many years with the Bunchy Orchestra specializing in the cimbalom.
