Margaret Bunchy has resigned as our News Reporter. Due to her recent heart attack and stroke she is unable to perform her duty as a reporter. Y., son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fabian of Br. 48, graduate of Notre Dame Universi-Charles Fabian ty, Notre Dame, Ind., recently married Miss Christine Adamec of Jackson Heights, N.Y., at St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church on June 26, 1971 is now continuing his education at Boston University. He is working to receive his Masters Degree in Sociology and seek a career in teaching. Charles, like many other William Penners has been a member since birth. Julia Melnick, reporter The Home Office announces the appointment of a new Branch Manager for Branch 76 in the person of: Mr.Stephen Szemes 428 Maplewood Road Springfield, Pa. 19064 Mr. Szemes has been an active Officer of Branch 76 for many years and he will be happy to assist you in any William Penn matters. 129 Columbus, Ohio Branch 129 congratulates David J. George who received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Utah in the June commencement. His Ph.D. major was Pharmacology. He also holds a B.S. in Pharmacy and a M.S. in Pharmacology from Ohio State University. In the past David has retained the position of “Teaching Assistant” at both Ohio State University, College of Pharmacy and at the University of Utah, College of Medi-David J. George cine and Pharmacy. His most recent position was “Research Instructor” at the University of Utah, College of Medicine. David, his wife, Gayle and son Christopher will live in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he will become a member of the faculty of the University of Utah, College of Medicine. His primary function in this position will be to carry out research dealing with the metabolism of drugs and poisons. David is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David George of Columbus, Ohio and has been a life long member of the William Penn Association. Congratulations are also in order for Gwen Boucher who has just graduated from Grandview High School. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Boucher. We were sorry to learn of the illness of our two very well known members, Mr. Louis Tokár, former Branch manager, and Mrs. Margaret Pirik. We wish them both a speedy recovery.
