May we take this opportunity to wish all fellow members of the organization a very Healthy, Happy and Prosperous New Year. A surprise party was given to Mrs. Anna Karolyi an oldtime member of Branch 48 in New York City by her children on December 14, 1969 to honor her on her 75th birthday. Mrs. Karolyi was indeed surprised when she entered the Augameiner’s Restaurant in Allentown, Pa., for this is where the celebration was held. She was showered with many gifts given to her by her eleven children, thirty-five grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. Most of whom are members of William Penn. The photo shows Mrs. Karolyi receiving one of her many gifts from her grandson John. We at the William Penn, officers and members also want to wish Mrs. Karolyi many more years of happiness. Albert Ibos, President 52 Windber, Pa. Our annual Christmas Party was held in the K. of C. Hall. Approximately 75 children and their parents attended. Highlight of the day was the children’s visit to Santa Claus (a devoted member of Wm. Penn) for their bag of goodies and the secret whispering of their hearts desires. Refreshments were served to all. Grateful thanks to all the officers and the Ladies of Wm. Penn for their help in making this Christmas party a success. Steve Gall 7
