They immigrated to the United States in 1921 and have four children and six grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Nogrady are both members of Branch 34, Pittsburgh, Pa. 76 Philadelphia, Pa. NOTICE PLEASE! Picnic time is here. Circle the date NOW. July 26th, 1970, Sunday, will be William Penn Day in Philadelphia. Our Branch 76 will play host to all of our neighboring Branches, who so willingly and eagerly offered their services to support this event. In conjunction with the Enter­tainment Committees, all of the branches are guaranteeing fun and games for ALL! Come early, admission will be $1.00 per person, from age 16 and older. Now is the time to show your loyalty; bring your family, friends, relatives on July 26th, Sunday for a day of fun. Refreshments will be available and the most enjoyable musicians will be on hand to entertain you. July 26th, will I am sure, be a day you will long remember. Make this YOUR “William Penn Day.” REMINDER: Another date to re­member is September 19, 1970, which is the date of our Annual Banquet. Make those reservations early. In keep­ing with our Fall Banquet, we are anxiously waiting the return of our Master of Ceremonies, Mr. Daniel Ro­senfeld, who has been ill and unable to attend a few of our affairs. Keep well, and welcome back Mr. Rosenfeld. Let’s hope you will “MC” the greatest crowd yet, this September 19th, 1970. Also at our meeting, a Birthday Party was being held for Mrs. Caroline Juraki whose brithday was April 8th. A most friendly group helped her celebrate and the beautiful decorated cake was en­joyed by all. To Mrs. Juraki, who looked positively radiant, a “Happy Birthday” and to her husband, Paul, continued good health, to you both—much happi­ness. At this time, we wish to extend Happy Days to Mrs. Elsie Szemes who also had a birthday celebration. “We Hope You’re Feeling Better” wishes go to Mrs. Betty Lovacs, who recently came home from the hospital and is doing beautifully, as is Mr. Carmen Mudry who had a slight relapse. We hope he will be in good shape to celebrate his wedding anniversary, May 1st, 1970. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Mudry, Jr. GRADUATION TIME: Here, pictured, is Miss Karen Mudry, a member of our William Penn, and daughter of one of our officers of many years, Mr. Carmen Mudry Miss Mudry will graduate from Villanova College with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree. Active in many groups and on the Dean’s List for four years. Congratulations, Karen. On April 25th, a group of our Phila­delphia Branch were in Perth Amboy to attend the Annual Dinner Dance given by the New Jersey Branches of the William Penn. Those of us who attended agree that a good time was had by all. Again, remember Folks, our meetings are held the second Saturday night of the month, at 1125 Southampton Road. All are welcome! Julie Melnick, Reporter 189 Alliance, Ohio William Penn members are well pleased with remodeling that was done to the club banquet room. Further re­modeling developments were discussed by the Executive Board. The Executive Board wishes to thank Mrs. Mary Gulling, club manager for her fine interior decorating work that she fur­nished. Members are asked to please make reservations for banquets in the banquet room, early. We wish to express our deepest sym­pathy to John Barany, Vice-President of Wm. Penn br. 189, whose brother, Stephen, passed away. Also sympathies to the following bereaved families: The Dugan family on the passing of Mrs. Susie Balogh; the Nagy family of Canton, Ohio on the passing of Mrs. Katie Miklós and the Bilcze family on the passing of Joseph Bilcze. On April 3rd, a social dinner and dance was held. The dance held after the dinner was enjoyed by all. President Mike Duruttya wishes to express his thanks to Board Members, John Barany, Mike Korosy, Mike Buzagony, John Frances and Robert Hahlan for helping to make the dinner a success. The following week, the Athletic Club held their annual steak dinner. The very tasty steaks were cooked by Helen Dugan, Ladies Auxiliary President. After the dinner all athletic members and their wives enjoyed themselves immensely dancing to the music of Wes Clark’s band. Margitka Korosy of San Bernardino, California, President of the Women’s Bloomington Magyar Haz, and also a member of Wm. Penn, is visiting her brother, Branch Mgr. 189, Mike Du­ruttya and family. While here in Alliance, Mrs. Korosy is visiting her many rela­tives and friends. We hope your visit here, Margitka, will be a pleasant and happy one. A Flint area soldier in Vietnam less than a month has been killed in com­bat, the Defense Department reported. Sgt. Nicholas M. Molnár, 22, died March 30, 1970. Sgt. Molnar’s wife, Mary, lives at 5178 Woodcliff Dr., Mt. Morris Town­ship. Sgt. Molnár was graduated from Hamady High School in 1967. He at­tended Flint Junior College and worked in the pharmacy department at Flint General Hospital before he was drafted in March 1969. He left March 13 for Vietnam where he served with the 9th Infantry Division. Besides his wife, Sgt. Molnár leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Mol­nár, 5100 Woodcliff. 275 Milwaukee, Wis.
