Be sure to get your entries signed by your branch managers so he can check your standing as William Penn members. 19 New Brunswick, N. J. The New Jersey William Penn Branches (Newark, New Brunswick, Passaic, Perth Amboy, Roebling and Trenton) held their second committee meeting in New Brunswick on February 22nd. The pur­pose of these meetings was to hold a New Jersey State William Penn Dinner- Dance on Saturday, April 20, 1968 — 7 P.M. at the H.A.A.C. Auditorium, 198 Somerset Street, New Brunswick, N. J. The Committee, consists of the fol­lowing: Steve Vidám, James Emody, Br. 70, Newark; Mrs. Ruth Vasvary, Mrs. Irene Evans, Miss Mary Ann Stanko, Mrs. Rose Keller, Mrs. Barbara Hege­dűs, Joseph Sohonyai, Alex Horvath, Joseph Arvay, Ernest Horvath, Anthony Vass, Louis Keller, Michael Hegedűs, Br. 19, New Brunswick; Mrs. Ann Hra­­bar, Stephen Mészáros, Michael Hrabar, Br. 16, Perth Amboy; Arthur Barillo, Joseph Bednarz, Br. 51, Passaic; Bela Emri, Zoltán Emri, Roebling; Miss Margaret Kovach, Mrs. Elsie Radvany, Stephen Lestician, Alex Virok, Frank J. Radvany, Br. 13, Trenton. It was decided to honor the States 50-Year Members, our two Illustrious Members: Bela Emri and James Emody, also the National Officers from New Jersey elected by the last convention: Michael Hegedűs, Jr., Frank J. Radvany and Zoltán Emri. Tickets are available from officers of the branches and committee members. Branch 19 holds its regular monthly meetings on every third Monday of the month at the District Office, 208 Som­erset Street, New Brunswick. For special meetings or change of meeting nights membership will be notified by mail. Attendance will be appreciated. We are making preparations to attend the Annual National Bowling Tourna­ment and Fellowship Days in Youngs­town, Ohio on June 1st and 2nd. Would like to go by bus. Please let us know your intentions. Mary Ann Stanko 24 Chicago, 111. Branch 24, Chicago, 111. will hold a card party, Saturday, March 9, 1968 at Odd Fellows Hall, 119 Wallace St. Time 8 P.M. After the card games, there will be refreshments served. The Officers and Entertainment Committee cordially invite all members to bring their friends along to a nice social evening of card playing. The Officers CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PARTY Again I am happy to report Branch 24’s Christmas Party was a memorable occasion. Approximately 93 children at­tended. We are happy to report Branch 24 has quite a few talented children. An enjoyable program was arranged: Debbie Bartolotta 11, did a Baton twirl­ing act, Denise Bartolotta 8, did a sweet ballet dance, Marion Dura 10, played several lovely tunes on her violin. She is quite a musician. Chuckie Batta 11, who comes from a long line of musicians, played the trumpet. Be­fore long he will be a member of his Dad’s band. Branch Manager Charles Akai’s four granddaughters did their own song and dance number and again made a hit: Debbie Sabo 11, Pamela Sabo 9, Mary Beth Akai, Susan 8. After the program the Children all joined in singing Christmas Carols, Santa arrived on the scene, Branch Manager Charles Akai did a good job as Santa. Toys and refreshments were passed out to all the Children. Also thanks again to Mrs. Ethel Mel­­ezer for her help. We are sure, all who attended this party, had an enjoyable afternoon. The Officers and Members of Branch 24, are truly grateful to the Home Office for the generous contribution that helped make this party a success. We hope this wonderful Fraternalism will con­tinue for many many years. Again we thank the Home Office. Also I wish to add to this report three new juvenile members acquired thru this party. Branch Manager Charles Akai is working hard to increase the juvenile membership. Also a reminder to all my fellow members, our regular monthly meetings, every second Saturday evening of each month 8:00 P.M. Odd Fellows Hall, 119th Wallace Street. Happy New Year to all. On January 1 the District Office was moved to 471 Spitzer Building, 520 Madison Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43604, Office Phone 242-6811 (Area Code 419). On January 7, 1968 at the Branch meeting the members voted to move the Branch Meetings to St. Michael’s Hall at 2008 Valentine St., Toledo, Ohio. 43605. The Branch meetings are still the same; 3 PM on the first Sunday of every month. All Branch 27 Members are cordially invited to attend the Branch Meetings. John R. Chick, Br. Mgr. 28 Youngstown, Ohio At the Branch Meeting held on De­cember 12, 1967 election of new officers took place. Newly elected officers are: Mike Tomcsak, president; Steve Novak, vice-pres.; Irene Nemeth, sec.-treas.; Steve Sándor, AI Nagy and Joseph Taylor, auditors; Kay Novak, reporter. To the old officers go many thanks for their hard work in the past year. Regular branch meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 P.M. in St. Stephen’s Church hall. We hope to see more of our members at these meetings. Wedding bells are ringing soon for Mr. Steve Tomchak and Miss Frances Pokorny. Recent arrivals of baby sons to these happy parents: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sauer, and Mr. and Mrs. James Mislay. Get well wishes go to Mrs. Wendell Miller and Mrs. Helen Douglass. Our sympathies are extended to the families of the following deceased: Mr. Joseph Turner, Mrs. Theresa Lenkey, Mrs. Barbara Konya, Mr. John Feher, and Mrs. Stephen Horvath.
