HORVÁTH, Lajos — DO NGOC QUANG — TOPÁL, György Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest ABSTRACT: A bird list - 19 different species - collected from Vietnam in the years 1966 and 1971 drew up by the authors. One of the authors (Dr. G. TOPÁL) made some collectings of birds - partly for parasitological investigations - during his study trips to Vietnam in April-May, 1966 and NovemberDecember, 1971, with the help of the staff of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Vietnam (DRV). The material was determined in Hanoi and in Budapest. It containes 19 species, mostly common for the fauna of indochina, however, new in the collection of the Hungarian Natural History Museum under reconstruction after the big losses in 1956. All of the 1ocalities-from where the material comes - lay in the northern part of Vietnam, between 20° and 23° northern latitudes, chiefly around Hanoi and in the Red River valley. The collecting place of specimen lays in a valley with agricultural fields and secondary bush vegetation surrounded by a densely forested range. 19
