The New Hungarian Christmas Sea! Our Association for years distributed to its members American Hungarian Relief Christmas seals, the proceeds of which were used to help many needy, unfortunate people. The American Hungarian Relief no longer is in existence; its work in this respect has been given to the American Hungarian Federation. This worthy effort merits our full support. Every Verhovay member is sincerely requested to accept again — and use — the Hungarian Christmas seals. The new Christmas seal was designed by Sándor Finta, famous sculptor, and it commemorates the Hungarian war hero of the American Revolution, Colonel Michael de Kovats. Colonel de Kovats served under George Washington and gave his life for our country May 11, 1779 at Charleston, South Carolina. Those members who will be fortunate to receive these Christmas seals (not enough could be printed to send to all the members) are requested to share their stamps with those not receiving any. Donations, even as little as $1.00, from each of our 61,000 members, would help provide a bright Christmas and a happy future for all Hungarian Americans. PLEASE FORWARD YOUR DONATION IN THE REPLY ENVELOPE PROVIDED. If you do not receive these Christmas seals but still wish to make a contribution, PLEASE SEND YOUR DONATION TO: AMERICAN HUNGARIAN FEDERATION, 1624 Eye. Street, N. W., Washington, D. C. Vice President *jj| The Revelers wish to thank all you who made up the grand turnout at our Hard Times Party on November 21st, with a promise of bigger and better parties and dances in the future. For the benefit of those who couldn’t attend, I would like to say there was dancing to the music of the Gay Notes, with prizes for a polka contest, plenty to eat, plenty to drink, and plenty of fun for all. Oh yes, movies were taken during the course of the evening and will be shown at one of our monthly meetings in the near future. Remember, if you belong to Verhovay and are between the ages of 16 and 30, you are a member of the Revelers. Just contact our secretary, Miss Connie LoPresti, at 5217 West Melrose Avenue, Chicago 41, Illinois. We hope to see you at our meetings soon.
