1953 / Verhovay Journal

Marc^ is, i95o--------------------------------------------------------------------Verhovay Journal ________________________________________________________FAGE_i Attention Branch Managers Many of the printed or mimeographed forms which are supplied you by the Home Office are being returned unsigned and/or without your branch number. Neglect in this matter has caused delays and brought complaints. It is quite obvious that every form sent to the Home Office should bear the signature of the branch manager and the number of the branch. Most common among the violations are the MEDICAL CERTIFICATES FOR SICK BENEFIT and the ORDER BLANKS. The Medical Certificates for Sick Benefit often are wanting their branch numbers, and sometimes the branch manager’s signature is lacking. The method of processing Sick Benefit claims makes it essential that branch identification appear. If you fail to do this then it is necessary that it be done at the Home Office. This of course results in inconvenience and delay in service. The same is even more emphatically true of the order blanks. An order blank both unsigned and branch-unidentified is a wasted sheet of paper. Some branch managers have written to the Home Office that the requisitions they mailed weeks ago were not filled. The truth is all orders for branch supplies are filled within a few days, rarely longer. An order blank without the branch manager’s name and branch number just can NOT be taken care of for there is NO way of knowing whence it came. Loss in transit is VERY unlikely for the U.S. mail is nigh perfect; an unfilled order means only that the branch manager failed both to sign his name and add the branch number. PLEASE CHECK ALL YOUR VERHOVAY FORMS FOR SIGNATURE AND BRANCH NUMBER BEFORE SENDING TO THE HOME OFFICE.
