Branch 76 CHANGE OF MEETING DATE The membership at the meeting held Sunday, September 14, 1952 unanimously decided that in the future all regular monthly meetings will be held the second Saturday of each month, 7:00 P.M., at the Dalárda, 1144 N. 4th St., Philadelphia. This decision was brought about in order to accomodate the members and to encourage better attendance at the meetings in the future. The next meeting will be held Saturday, Nov. 8, 1952, at 7 P. Branch 168 BETTER MEETING ATTENDANCE DESIRED Branch 168 held a meeting Sept. 18, 1952 at the Hungarian Hall. It is unfortunate for the branch that so few members attended, yet many premises to be present at the meeting were given. The progress of our branch depends in large part on our meeting attendance. Also on the program will be the presentation of the Illustrious Citation and Verhovay Gold Emblem to John Mokri, manager of Branch 194 until its merger with Branch 27. FLINT, MICHIGAN Branch 214 ANNIVERSARY Approximately 40 years ago Branch 214 was founded in Flint, Michigan, and the Verhovay flag graced that city for the first time. On Sunday, October 26, 1952, at 3:00 P.M., Branch 214 will celebrate its 40th anniversary with ceremonies in St. Joseph's Hall, Hickory St., Flint. Branch 214 is getting ready through the volunteer efforts of its members for this grand event. It is hoped that not only the members of Branch 211 but also the Directors, National Officers, branches and other members attend the 40th year observance of the founding of Branch 214. PRES, and CHANGE OF ADDRESS NOTICE The President of Branch 296, Stephen Üveges, whom we know to be a very sincere Verhovay branch officer and ardent worker, has expressed this wish: He desires that the entire membership of Branch 296 be present at the December meeting because of its major importance as the month of branch elections and planning for the following year; He asks the Springdale and Allegheny County members and Hungarians to utilize and support the Springdale Verhovay Home, which offers the best faciities for programs, banquets, entertainment, etc.; He urges that all the Hungarians in Allegheny County maintain a close relationship with one another for their own advantage and the betterment of ail area Hungarian undertakings. This message by Branch President Stephen Üveges, we are sure, will inget the endorsement of all Verhovay members and Hungarians living in Allegheny County.
