This citation is awarded to you in recognition of the many years you have worked without an injury in the Bituminous coal mines of Pennsylvania.

His Excellency, the Honorable John S. Fine, Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and I, as Secretary of Mines extend our thanks and appreciation to you for your excellent record.

It is records such as yours that have made it possible for Pennsylvania to have the safest coal mines ,in the United States.

There is little we can add to this beautiful tribute except in the way of pertinence.

Director Vizi has worked for many years as an electrician for Berwind White Coal Company. He has not only an enviable safety record but is so highly skilled in his trade that he is looked upon as one of the best employees of the Berwind White Coal Company because of his many solutions and aids to company problems.

By extension our Verhovay Director has been equally useful and adept as Director, President of Branch 59 and Verhovay member.

As President of Branch 59, Scalp Level, Pennsylvania, Mr. Vizi has guided his branch well and has participated freely in all Verhovay activities in the Scalp Level-Windber area. He is the acknowledged leader of the Verhovay members in that part of Pennsylvania.

Louis Vizi the member of the Board of Directors is highly respected for his sincere opinions and his avowed desire and intention ever to serve faithfully the best interests of our organization. His fourth term as Verhovay Director speaks the lofty regard and capability in which the Verhovay conventions hold Director Vizi.

Director Vizi has won several. Verhovay awards including the famed citation and gold emblem of our Association.
