Senior contestants who are over 35 years of age. They must be members of the Verhovay Fraternal Insurance Association or they may join the association NOW. Prizes will be given to the 25 Senior contestants securing the most points according to the rules of the contest, which began on October 1, 1937 and must positively close on March 31st, 1938. Younger contestants who are from 16 to 34 years of age. BrII They must he members of the Verhovay Fraternal Insurance Association or they may join NOW. Grand prizes will be given to the 25 younger members securing the most points in the membership drive, according to the rules of the contest, which began October 1, 1937 and must close on May 31, 1938. The Senior Group of Winning Contestants will arrive at Budapest in ample time to attend the INTERNATIONAL HOL\ YEAR EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS, which will be held from the 26th to the 28th of May. During the three months of June, July and August, Hungary will enthusiastically conduct her SAINT STEPHEN NINE HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION During the last week of August, the WORLD CONGRESS OF HUNGARIANS will be held Short Summary of the Rules of the Contest 1. — Each contestant must compete with the group in which his age places him. The Senior Contest must positively close on March 31, 1938 and the Junior Contest continues only until May 31, 1938. In each group, the winners will be the contestants who obtain the highest number of points in securnig new members, in strict accordance with the rules of the contest. 2. — It is necessary that every contestant be a member of Verhovay Fraternal Insurance Association. If not yet a member, he or she may join when entering the contest. 3. — The new members secured may be either Senior or Junior Order Members who obtain certificates for from $250.00 to $5,000.00 Insurance or Junior Order Members who secured Certificates with monthly dues of 15 or 25 cents 4. — Credits may be allowed in the contest for only those new members who have paid membership certificate dues for at least six (6) months before the close of the contest for the group to which the contestant belongs. 5. — The computing of the results of the contest for securing new members according to credits — is to be done in accordance with the following tables: REGULAR INSURANCE (If monthly dues are paid for six months) The securing of a $ 250.00 certificate represents 500 points The securing of a $ 500.00 certificate represents 1,000 points The secari.g of a $ 1,000.00 certificate represents 2,000 points The securing of a $ 5,000.00 certificate represents 10,000 points If monthly dues are paid for twelve months The securing of a $ 250.00 certificate represents 1,500 points The securing of a $ 500.00 certificate represents 3,000 points The securing ef a $ 1,000.00 certificate represents 6,000 points The securing nf a $ 5,000.00 certificate represents 30,000 points (The amount nf insurance falling between these amounts, will he credited to the contestant according to this table). IN THE JUNIOR ORDER (if the monthly dues are paid for six months) With 15c monthly dues, each new member represents With 25c monthly dues, each new member represents 400 points 600 points (If the monthly dues are paid for twelve months) With 15c monthly dues, each new member represents 1,200 points With 25c monthly dues, each new member represents 2,000 points 6. — The Closing Time of the Contest for securing new members is 12 o’clock noon on MARCH 31st FOR THE OLDER OR SENIOR GROUP and also at noon on MAY 31, 1938 FOR THE YOUNGER GROUP. The prizes named, will be awarded by the Home Office of the Verhovay Fraternal Insurance Association. This decision is acknowledged as binding by all the contestants, upon their announcing their intention of taking part in the Contest. It is binding upon the contestants to use a steamship and railroad ticket, personally, by taking part i* the Tour of Study. 7. — In the case of a tie, each contestant «W win a prize. Supreme Officers, employees of the Honi© Office, District Managers, as well as the children of the above named, cannot take part in the Contest. 8. — However, the members of the Branches, Secretaries and Officers can take part in the Contest. They can also take part in the Contest by backing one member of the Branch in their efforts to win in the Contest. 9. — The publishing of the exact votes will be taken care of by the Home Office by publishing the. list of tho contestants names and their standing from time to time. 10. — The forms and documents for the beginning of the securing of new members as well as the personal admission of the contestants can be obtained free of charge from any District Organizer, or Branch Secretary of the Verhovay Fraternal Insurance Association or from the Home Office. i \t/ 'ifr \ti vtTMr\tr\tr~xt7' it/ it/itrxtrxl
