especially beautiful, fine copper plating on the shop level attracts the eye. Its stylized floral decoration repeats the similar motifs on the plastered surfaces, and the geometric pattern reinforces the facades vertical articulation. The copper-plated entrance from Régiposta utca was made by the same Haas & Somogyi firm whose name we met in connection with the Parisian Arcade. On the corner across the street, at no. 11/b Váci utca, stands the building erected to house Henrik Lähne’s shop and residential quarters to plans by Sámuel Révész and József Kollár. A new colour was added to the overall appearance of Váci utca with this department store, which opened in 1912.
