IGO largely moulded by Greek thought, its law denied from ancient Rome, its religion of Jewish birth. It is the special aim of the noblest theologians of this age, in which the Unitarians of England are taking their part to restore Christianity to its primitive simplicity, as it was in Christ; and no book has recenly come out in which this is more beautifully attempted than Dr. Drummond’s Hibbert lectures „Via, Veritas, Vita“. Its aim — wonderfully fulfilled — is to go up and up the stream of time and to pierce the vail which many centuries of prejudice and superstion have drawn over the face of Christ to see him as he was. When in a recent year, we laid the foundation of a new school, 22 ministers walked in procession, representing every religious denomination in the town; and at a bazaar which we held for the purpose of paying off the debt upon it, amongst
