Box 2203 Union, New Jersey 07083 Telephone: 201-964-8464 SPECIAL NEWSLETTER THE REOGANIZATION AND REACTIVATION OF THE HUNGARIAN EIGHTH TRIBE FOUNDATION The work of the Reorganization Committee appointed at the Hungarian Heritage Conferernce in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, having been completed, a special meeting was recently held between the Chairman of the committee and Mr. Sándor E. Chomos, the founder and past president of The Hungarian Eighth Tribe Foundation, concerning the immediate reorganization and reactivation. The following decisions were made to help expedite the realization of these objectives: 1. To provide immediate direction for the initiation of constructive activities designed to foster the achievement of the Foundation's purposes, a temporary Board of Directors was appointed to serve until the next Annnual Meeting and, at which time, formal elections will be held. The members and positions of this Pro Tern, management team are as follows: Chairman of the Board...................Sándor E. Chomos President & Executive Director.........Paul Pulitzer Vice-President...........................Harry G. Ladanye Secretary-Treasurer.....................Roger B. Goodman Director.................................Arthur A. Bartfay Director.................................Louis Ambrose Director.................................William J. Kormos 2. New By-Laws are in the process of preparation and, when completed, each member of the Foundation will receive a copy. Suggested amendments, if any, will be considered for adoption at the next Annual Meeting. 3. For the time being, membership dues will remain $25.00 a year, including a subscription to the Eighth Hungarian Tribe magazine. December, 1984 Page 9
