FERENC F. SAJGÓ: THE HUNGARIAN LIFE-LINE A Present from a Hungarian-American to President Reagan. Imre Makk, a Hungarian-American living in Hawaii, painted a larger than lifesize portrait of President Reagan with the intention to offer it to him as a present. Makk requested for an audience which was granted by the President. The artist, his wife and their son, accompanied with a delegation of Hungarian-Americans, received by the President in the Oval- Office on March 29, 1984. Imre Makk presented his artwork to the President who was visibly pleased and he warmly thanked the artist for the present. After the presentation of the picture László Pásztor introduced the members of the delegation to the President: Bishop Dezső Abraham, Bishop Dr. Janos Butosi, Gyula Belső, president of the Hungarian Republican National Association, Gabor Bognár,, president of the Hungarian Scout Association, Janos Siabo, president of the William Penn Society, Zsolt Vigh, director of the Hungarian-American Federation and György Stirling, secretary of the Association of the Free Hungarian Journalists.
