Page 14 THE EIGHTH TRIBE October, 1977 Pictorial Review of the Akron, Ohio Conference — Photos by Ted Szor The Church Conference was hosted by the Christ Reformed Church, Akron, Ohio, the Very Rev. Tibor Dömötör pastor. Before the conference the participants toured the Lorantffy Home Care Center, a very impressive building. The leaders and the members of the Christ Reformed Church should be congratulated for establishing this beautiful Care Center for our senior citizens. All workers are Hungarians, including the medical staff. The Conference was presided over by Ernest Szaniszlo, President. The main speakaer was Mr. Elmer Vargo, National Secretary of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America. His topic was “The Layman and his Church.” After the presentation the conference broke up into three seperate discussion groups, followed by a joint presentation to the conference by the discussion groups. Churches participating were from the states of Ohio, New York, and Pennsylvania.
