He named it Ebenezer (Stone of Help), saying, Thus far has the Lord helped us.” I Samuel 7:12 Dear Friends and Supporters of Bethlen Communities, The above noted “dedication” of the Stone of Help took place after the Israelites won a significant battle against the Philistines. Samuel led the dedication ceremony, in which the important victory was commemorated, and during which, Almighty God was worshipped and thanked. During these next weeks, Bethlen Communities will host two special services of dedication, in which an important accomplishment will be celebrated, and during which, Almighty God will be worshipped and thanked. On Labor Day, September 5, 2005, the new Bethlen Home was dedicated to the glory of God and to the care and service of God’s children. Nearly 30 years to the day after the dedication of the North Wing in the old Bethlen Home, members of the American Hungarian Reformed Presbyters’ Association and members of the American Hungarian Reformed Ministerial Association gathered with representatives of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of American and the Board of Directors of Bethlen Communities, to worship God and then participated in the dedication ceremony. The worship service and dedication took place in the Linden Room (Great Room) of the new building. On Saturday, October 1,2005, at 2:00 p.m., the donated resident rooms and activity areas will be dedicated, and the donor churches, organizations, foundations and individuals will be recognized at a reception held in their honor. This dedication service coincides with the Fall Meeting of the Central Classis of the Calvin Synod Conference, UCC, which will take place in Bethlen Communities’ Conference Room during the morning hours. All friends and supporters of Bethlen Communities are invited to this dedication service and ceremony. FELSZENTELÉSEK ISTEN DICSŐSÉGÉRE Sámuel pedig vett egy követ és felállitá Mispa és Sén között, és Ében-Háézernek nevezte el, mert mondá: Mindeddig megsegített minket az Úr. 1 Sámuel 7:12 Üzenet a Bethlen Otthon Közössége barátainak és pártolóinak: A fent említett „Segítség Kövének” felszentelése akkor történt, amikor Izrael egy döntő ütközetben legyőzte a filiszteusokat. Maga Sámuel vezette a felszentelési szertartást, melynek keretében Istent magasztalták és Neki mondtak köszönetét. A ránk következő hetekben a Bethlen Otthon Közössége két szentelési ünnepséggel, dicséri Istent, nagy nevéhez illő hálaadással. Szeptember 5-én, Labor Day napján történik az új Be: thlen Otthon felszentelése, felajánlván azt az Ő dicsőségére és ápolásra szoruló gyermekei gondozására. Ez az ünnepség csaknem pontosan 30 évre követi a régi épület északi szárnyának felszentelését. A keret az Amerikai Magyar Református Presbiteri Szövetség és az Országos Lelkészegyesület évi gyűlése. Jelen lesz az Amerikai Magyar Református Egyesület és a Bethlen Otthon igazgatóságának képviselete. A hálaadó istentisztelet és felszentelési ünnepség színhelye az új épület Linden Nagyterme. 2005 október 1-én, d.u. 2 órakor történik a lakószobák és aktivitási termek felajánlása az adakozó egyházak, egyesületek, családok és szervezetek képviselőinek jelenlétében. Tiszteletükre fogadást rendezünk. Ez az ünnepség egybeesik a Kálvin Zsinat Közép Egyházmegyéjének őszi gyűlésével, melyet az új épület konferencia termében tartanak a reggeli órákban. A Bethlen Otthon Közössége minden barátját és támogatóját szeretettel meghívjuk a fent jelzett ünnepségekre. „Mindeddig megsegített minket az Úr”, vagy mint egy újabb bibliafordítás mondja: az Úr segített az egész úton.
