THE BETHLEN HOME Thanks To: Volunteers Peg Perry, DaLona Leonard, Thelma Iscrupe, Mary Jane Shaw, Beth Gallo and Mario Battaglia for all their hard work and efforts that went into wrapping the Presents for Patients’ gifts this year. They were beautiful! Volunteer Peg Perry for all her hard work that went into labeling the Presents for Patients’ clothing. We couldn’t have done it without you! Volunteer Mario Battaglia for all his hard work that went into helping decorate the outdoors this holiday season. The lights look wonderful. The Activity Staff members (Bobbie, Camae and Kathy) for all their hard work and efforts that went into decorating the facility for the holiday season. You helped to make the home feel heartwarming and festive. Volunteer Joyce Hines who faithfully decorates the first floor west wing hallway with seasonal and holiday decorations. The residents are always looking forward to seeing what will be put up next! The Valley School for their hard work, efforts and creativity that went into making the snowman door decorations along with the Valentine decorations that will be hung after the holiday season. The resident’s just loved them! Volunteers Thelma Iscrupe and Ann Woodall who recently made a holiday donation of a subscription to the Guidepost Magazine for our weekly library cart. The Members of the Women's Guild of the First United Church of Christ in Manor, PA for their hard work, time and effort that went into making the beautiful protection bibs that were recently donated. Family member Lynn Cummings for her recent donation of jewelry, Christmas items and stuffed Bunny to be used for resident gifts and prizes during the holiday season. Mr. and Mrs. George Doza for their donation of cards, Christmas wrap and goodies for the Activity Staff. They were greatly appreciated. St. James Lutheran Church of Ligonier, PA (the Women's Guild) for their recent support and efforts that went into purchasing gifts for our Presents for Patients Fundraiser. The Members of the William Penn Association of Pittsburgh, PA for their recent donation of gifts of candy for the residents. The residents of The Bethlen Home and Ligonier Gardens both shared the surprise treat. Mrs. Miedel of Youngstown, PA who donated lap robes for our residents this holiday season. She is a young 102- year-old-lady who keeps very active with her sewing. Thank you for thinking of us, and may God continue to bless you with many more healthy and happy years. Holy Trinity Kindergarten classes for their beautiful Thanksgiving decorations that were made for our residents. They loved them!! Anne Reiber who worked so hard in making the protective bibs for our residents. They were greatly appreciated, and we’re proud you thought of us to help you earn your Girl Scout Badge in sewing. Derry Christian Academy for their recent visit and sharing of their beautiful voices during the holiday season. The carols were wonderful! We look forward to your visit next year! Ligonier, VFW Kooties for sponsoring a Christmas party for our residents this holiday season. Your gift of fruit was a hit. Thank you for your continued support you give our residents and home each month by sponsoring bingos. Families and friends of former residents who attended the recent Holiday Memorial Service and placed a memory ornament on the tree. Oak Grove Christian Church for their holiday caroling. Volunteer Helen Rose for the beautiful afghan that she made which will be used for a winter raffle starting in January. Stop by and get a ticket. Proceeds will benefit Resident Activities. Holy Trinity church members for stopping by and sharing their gift of song during the holiday season. Volunteer Helen Rose for playing for our Christmas Carol Sing Along and Memorial Service. Sons of the American Legion for their recent visit to our facility to pay tribute to our resident Veterans. Each resident received a special gift from their holiday wish list this season. Interact Club for sharing their voice of song and visitation with our residents during the holiday season. Methodist Church of Ligonier who recently visited and distributed bears to our residents this holiday season. Everyone can use someone to hug!
