TOjank ^ouî brought in goodies to share with the staff. The goodies were greatly appreciated. The students of the Bridgett Dawn Dance Studio for their recent holiday performance for our residents. They just loved it! We’re already looking forward to having you for another performance! Students from the Christian Academy in Youngstown, PA for the wonderful play they recently performed during the holiday season. I believe we have some future stars! Donna Lamont and the students of the Ligonier Valley Middle School’s Community Service group for all their hard work and talent that went into making the Christmas cards for our residents. They were greatly appreciated. Anita Miller and her Dietary Staff for making special treats for our holiday programs, guests and staff. They were greàtly appreciated. Waterford Firemen for their holiday gift treats for our residents. They were a great surprise and much appreciated. Lori Von Stein and her class from Holy Trinity School of Ligonier for the beautiful holiday cards for our residents. They just loved them! All the volunteers for their hard work and dedication in helping out during the holiday season, from the hanging of lights to serving snacks. Your time and efforts were greatly appreciated. LIGONIER GARDENS All the staff and residents at Ligonier Gardens would like to thank all of the groups that came in at Christmas time to sing: The VFW Fairmont Church The Cub Scouts The Joybelles Heritage Church Bridget Dawn’s Dance Studio The Girl Scouts The Oak Grove Church of Christ Marie Rutt and her ladies that come in every month to have Bible Study and a Hymn Sing with the residents. We all enjoy that very much. Rebecca Mauch, a volunteer who comes in every week to visit with the residents. She talks with them, helps them with small things that they need to do, and also helps with the activities and crafts. Thank you Rebecca! Helen Rose, also one that volunteers her time to the residents. She comes in every Saturday for the Church Service and plays the organ. Thank you Helen! The Ligonier Ligonier Valley High School for sending Mrs. McKinnon and her German Class over. The students sang songs to the residents in English and German. They helped to decorate the tree upstairs with a German theme. It was decorated with freshly strung cranberries and gingerbread men. The Ligonier Valley Middle School who sent their 6th grade class over. The children made Christmas cards and Gingerbread houses for all the residents, and then sang Christmas carols. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into the cards and houses. THE BETHLEN HOME’S KING AND QUEEN OF HEARTS’ CONTEST The Activity Department will be sponsoring their annual King and Queen of Hearts’ Contest for our 2004 Valentine’s Party. This year’s nominees for Queen are Bessie Baird, Dorothy Cramer and Marie Kontor. King nominees are Paul Lute, John McDunn and Jeff Roberts. Friends, families, residents and staff are encouraged to place their votes for their favorite nominees. Winners will be announced at the Valentine’s Party on February 14th. We would also like to thank: Karen Billick for volunteering her time to help our residents look their best on the night of our Christmas Party. Karen brought in her Mary Kay products, and the residents enjoyed their makeovers. Everyone who participated in the “Angel Tree” from the Salvation Army of Ligonier. The gifts that you purchased helped to brighten the holidays for some of the children in the Ligonier Valley area. The Women's Sewing Guild for their generous donation of lap blankets. The women took their own time to make beautiful blankets, and then donated them to the residents of Ligonier Gardens and The Bethlen Home.
