ffipcomtng dCbentô JANUARY HIGHLIGHTS Liqonier Gardens “RINGING IN THE NEW YEAR” FEBRUARY HIGHLIGHTS Ligonier Gardens “THE MONTH OF LOVE” Friday, 2nd: Music by Tom Beckman at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, 6th: Bible study at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, 10th: Music by Earnest Papay at 1:30 p.m. Friday, 16th: Crafts Tuesday, 27th: Music by Joe Marotta at 11:00 a.m. Every Tuesday and Friday at Ligonier Gardens we will be having a second exercise class. Exercise 2 will be “Strength Building”. The residents will do more exercises using the bands and lightweights. Blood Pressure Clinic Just a reminder! The second Saturday of every month there is a Blood Pressure Clinic held at Ligonier Gardens. Come in and have your Blood Pressure taken. This is very important to your health that you have it checked. Having it checked regularly can re­duce many health problems. Our Newest Resident Please stop by and visit our newest resident, his name is “Sunny”. You can find him by the first floor nurse’s station. He is a yellow cockatiel. Sunny loves to whistle and sing to everyone. Thank you to the Wellock family for sharing this wonderful addition with us. The Bethlen Home Dismantling of Holiday Decorations will take place Monday, January 5th through Wednesday, January 7th. Volunteers are needed. Thursday, 8th: Entertaiment will be held at 3:00 p.m. by Joe Diamond. The VFW will be holding Bingo at 6:30 p.m. Join us for Winter Wonderland Week starting the 11 th through the 17th. Residents will have the opportu­nity to make a winter craft, play games, and top the week off with some special winter treats! Thursday, 22nd: Entertaiment at 2:00 p.m. by Ven­triloquist Helen Hammett. Friday, 23rd: Celebrate National Pie Day by joining us for our Annual Pie Social at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, 5th: Women’s Sewing Guild from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mass at 11:00 a.m. Music by Tom Beckman at 6:30 p.m. Friday, 6th: Monthly Facts / Trivia / Games Tuesday, 10th: Making Valentine’s Day Cards Tuesday, 17th: Music by Joe Marotta at 1:30 p.m. On February 5th, the Women’s Sewing Guild will be repairing clothes for the residents at Ligonier Gar­dens, with an exception to zippers. If you would like anything repaired, please let Lisa know. The Bethlen Home Sunday, 1st: Superbowl preview party at 2:30 p.m. in the Dining Room. Monday, 2nd: Residents, staff and families will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite King and Queen of Hearts’ nominees. Winners will be an­nounced on Valentine’s Day. Saturday, 14th: Happy Valentine’s Day! Entertain­ment and celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, 24th: Also known as Fat Tuesday! Resi­dents can expect a special treat for breakfast this morning! WednesdayT 25th: The start of the Lenten season. STORYBOOK DONATIONS The Bethlen Home Staff and residents participated in a month long drive collecting books for children of all ages. The books were donated to the Greensburg Tribune / Salvation Army Operation Santa Claus Project. Thank You to all who participated!
