tively, and myself, will insure that the excellent care known by The Bethlen Home residents and their families, will continue without interruption. Please call any of us if you have questions or concerns. So, we say “Good-bye” to Michael and we say “Hello” to Lin, along with a host of new “friends”, who are or will be members of the large construction team in the months ahead. A season of change, certainly, but in the center of all this activity is One who does not change. “Every good gift and every perfect present comes from heaven; it comes down from God...who does not change or cause darkness by turning.” James 1:17 The residents and staff of The Bethlen Home and Ligonier Gardens join me in wishing all of our Friends and Supporters a very blessed New Year! May we move ahead together in faith, in hope and in love. Bertalan A. Imre igazgató-lelkész Sincerely, Qjbj Rév. Imre A. We offer in-house rehabilitation services consisting of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies. Individuals who experience an illness or a decline in function, may receive therapy to improve functional status and regain independence. A Physical Therapist identifies residents who have therapy needs and evaluates them as ordered by the physician. Residents are also evaluated for special needs such as braces or splints and are fitted and instructed to use these devices appropriately. Occupational Therapy treats every individual based on their need to become independent in all aspects of life. This therapy strives to help the resident return home with confidence that they will be able to manage on their own as they did prior to their illness. Speech - Language Therapy addresses the communication skills, cognitive functioning and swallowing abilities of an individual. The role of the nursing home is not only to provide home for long-term care residents, but also to provide therapies for residents who will one day return to their homes with increased strength and improved functional status.
