There are buns to buy and hot dogs And a watermelon, too... She buys enough potato chips To last a whole day through. Back home, the salad's waiting And she puts the eggs to boil. Dad is at the filling station Where he checks the gas and oil. When Mother fills the picnic jug With ice-cold lemonade, The time has come for loading So we all pitch in and aid. We're just the happiest family That could ever be found, As Dad heads the station wagon For the lakeside picnic ground. Then we kids all go in swimming For the water's simply fine. Mom and Dad have found a table Underneath a towering pine. When we have left the water We like to have a swing, But Mom calls us to a dinner That is fit for any king. When we're older we'll remember The lovely time we had, On that good old family picnic With Mother and with Dad. eepeöt á§>pmpatí)p THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT Residents and Staff recently enjoyed several surprise guests that provided some special entertainment. The Concordia Choir from Felvidék, Slovákia, who is currently touring the states, made a recent stop here at The Bethlen Home to do a performance for the residents. Their voices were breathtaking, and the performance was enjoyed by all. László Péferfy and Anna Maria Gall, who are actors from Transylvania, provided an afternoon of poetry and song for our residents and staff. Although they were unable to speak the English language, the residents were able to interpret what they were saying through their drama and actions. We're already looking forward to their next visit. Many "Thanks" to both of these groups and the Hungarian Federation for making their visit possible to The Bethlen Home.
