Jßtetoö from ti)t €xecutíbe ®trector Dear Friends and Supporters of the Bethlen Home, The residents and staff of the Bethlen Home greet you in the name of our Risen Lord! Recently we received a phone call from a family in New Jersey. Their 90+ year old mother had been hospitalized after a fall. It was time for her to be released from the hospital and to enter a convalescent home for rehabilitative therapy. The mother's choice was to come to Ligonier and the Bethlen Home. Within the hearts of many of our parents and grandparents there is that sense that Ligonier is Home...that the Bethlen Home is their home, that here there is security and well-being. No doubt some of these feelings are rooted in events in which they took part many years ago. Other feelings are tied to the memories of dear people who themselves have called Ligonier, home. Whatever the reasons, quite many of our loved ones still look to the Bethlen Home when physical and spiritual needs require special care. The call from New Jersey reaffirmed for all of us in Ligonier that the pastoral and medical mission of the Bethlen Home continues to be two-fold: ministering to people and churches in the immediate vicinity and ministering to people and congregations many miles away. As we enter the warmer seasons and as we begin making travel and vacation plans, I urge people both near and far to come home to Ligonier. Come visit the Bethlen Home. Our annual Bethlen Home-Hungarian Reformed Federation Picnic is scheduled for Sunday, July 16. The annual William Aros Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, August 12. The ceremonial groundbreaking for our new nursing care facility will be held on September 4, Labor Day. All of these occasions will be memorable, but feel free to come at any other time as well. May our loving God continue to bless all our Friends and Supporters during these beautiful seasons of Easter and Pentecost! Sincerely, Rev. Imre A. Bertalan, Executive Director
