Also, items are picked that can be given to residents who have no family during the holiday season. If you haven't noticed already, the Activity Room and the Activity Office recently received a new paint job. “Thanks”, Scott, Arpie, Louie, and Laci for a job well done. The residents and staff wish you and your family nothing but the best! You certainly deserve it. We hope that when you have a chance you will come back and visit us. SPRING CRAFT SHOW RESULTS Many “Thanks” to the volunteers, families, residents, staff and the publicforyoursupportand hard workin making our Spring Craft Show such a great success. This year we raised over $2,800.00, and the proceeds will go toward purchasing a portable public an­nouncement system. Believe it or not, we’re already thinking about pre­paring for our Fall Bazaar fundraiser! PAST HIGHLIGHTS Violinists Marge and Anthony McCarty recently enter­tained our residents with an evening of song during their mealtime. A wide variety of waltzes and Hun­garian songs were among the selections. Thanks again for all your time and talents. The evening was enjoyed by all. The Magyar Folk Dancers of Pittsburgh recently per­formed for our residents. An afternoon of music and song was enjoyed by all. Special Thanks to Betty Király for taking the time to bring the dancers to Ligonier. We hope they enjoyed the afternoon as much as everyone else did. A group of 20 residents and volunteers recently went on a Spring outing. Residents enjoyed shopping at one of the local shopping centers and enjoyed lunch at Clearview Restaurant in Latrobe, PA. Many “Thanks” to the volunteers and the restaurant for all their help. Sunshine Brothers clothing wagon recently visited the facility. Residents were able to enjoy shopping at their leisure. As you know, 10% of the sales that day The next project is to have blinds installed in both rooms. This is especially needed to help darken the room when it comes to activities such as movies, current events, etc. Many “Thanks” to Rev. Kaiser and his congregation of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Dayton, Ohio for their donation at Christmas time, which will be used in this worthwhile project.
