JMeart to JMoart ^ *ß HEART OF “THANKS” JVcthritçj ^tgt|Ugt]ts MARCH 15TH IS HUNGARIAN DAY!! Christmas can be a lonely time, especially to someone living in a long-term care facility such as ours, and no longer has family or friends who are able to visit them. I would like to take this opportunity to commend the public, families, and the following groups and businesses who helped to make our residents’ holidays so very special through their donations, visits, and support. You truly have shared the spirit of Christmas and have made their holiday a most memorable one. REVEREND WILLIAM OESTERLIN AND CONGREGATION FROM THE ST. Many of our residents are of Hungarian descent. Many of you will notice that on the Second Floor East Wing, decorations of red, white, and green are distributed throughout the hallway. Most of our residents who have Hungarian backgrounds live on this wing. These colors represent their flag. A special church service will be held at 10:30 a.m., in the Solarium, by Rev. Posta. In the afternoon, a celebration party will be held, with entertainment provided by Ray Morano and friends. They will be performing Hungarian music especially selected for this day. SUNSHINE BROTHERS VISIT FACILITY IN APRIL Sunshine Brothers Clothing Wagon will be visiting the facility with their wide selection of Spring and Summer clothing on Monday, the 11th, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The company carries regular clothing, as well as specialized clothing for the resident who requires back snap clothing. Clothing sizes range from Petite to Size XXXL. Nightwear, shoes, undergarments, etc., are also available. Families are encouraged to attend and bring their loved one down to help them make a selection. If you are unable to attend and would like clothing purchased for your loved one, please contact Sherry in Activities or Pat in Social Service. Volunteers will be able to help make your selection, as well as assist any resident needing help. Remember, this is a great time to think of Birthdays and Mother’s Day Gifts.
