OLDER AMERICANS MONTH COOKBOOKS STILL AVAILABLE The Volunteer’s Cookbook of Favorite Recipes is still available for purchase through the Activity Department and the Gift Shop for $5.00 each. The books have been selling like hot cakes, and have been a great fund raiser for the Chapel Fund. We currently have sold almost 400 books and are ready for another reorder. If you would like a copy mailed to you, the cost of the book is $7.00. This includes the postage and packing. Anyone having any questions can contact the Activity Department at 238-6711, Monday through Friday. Remember, they make great gifts............ During the month of May, millions of senior citizens across the country and in Long Term Nursing Care Facilities will be celebrating Older Americans Month and National Nursing Home Week, starting May 10th through the 16th. During this time, we would like to take the opportunity to show our residents just how much they mean to us, and how much they are appreciated. The Activity Department is planning on taking all the residents on a “make believe” week long vacation trip to Hong Kong. What better way to celebrate........... Residents.............you can be looking forward to some special entertainment, a tour of Hong Kong, and ummmm ............those specialty dishes which are among some of the surprises. So, residents, watch for details.
