SctiWtç ^íjjJjBjjíjt* Man's Best Friend One of the most precious things in life that God created for us to enjoy is animals. No matter what kind, we always seem to find a special place in our hearts to care for them. Volunteer Connie Hutter helps to bring a little extra love to our residents each week with a variety of pets. Thank you Connie for all your hard work, the residents really look forward to your weekly visits. Pictured below are residents, Judit Nagy and Marian Feight giving a little extra attention to man’s best friends. Bethlen Home Cookbooks The Activity Department and it's volunteers have been putting a cookbook together to help raise funds for the chapel. The cookbook will be sent for publishing the early part of August and will be ready for sale at our Annual Christmas Bazaar in November. Mail orders will also be available. The cost has not yet been set. Keep this in mind for your holiday giving. Phone orders will also be taken and cost and shipping will be determined at this time. New Chapel Funds Still Needed The Bethlen Home Volunteers and Activity Department continue to raise funds for this worthwhile project. Donations are still very much in need to help us achieve this dream come true. The chapel will be a place for families and residents to find comfort and prayer during trying times. The ministers will also be able to perform their church services in a beautiful setting. Donations can be made to the Bethlen Home Chapel Fund. Your thoughtfulness and support are very much appreciated. Special "Thanks" to those family and friends of Bethlen Home that have already donated towards this dream. The following donations have been received since the 1991 summer issue of the newsletter. Donation in memory of former resident Victor Pacifico from daughter Antionette Kiss. Funds will be used toward pew or stained glass window. Donation was also received from Lewis and Wilma Lentz in memory of former resident, Eugene Warden. What would summer be without a cold beer on a hot summer day along with a picnic? This has always been one of the favorite activities of summer here at the home. Residents enjoy a cookout several times a month along with happy hour which is held every Friday. This gives the residents an opportunity to enjoy frozen and ice cream drinks. Our most popular drink remains a cold glass of beer. This seems to satisfy everyone's taste. Below are several pictures from a recent picnic held at the home's picnic grove.
