The Sunshine Brothers Clothing Wagon will be bringing their fall and winter selections to the Bethlen Home on Tuesday, November 6th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Residents and families are encouraged to participate in helping the residents make their selections. Volunteers will also be on hand to assist you. If you are unable to attend and you would like clothing items purchased for your loved one, please contact Sherry Humbertson at 238-6711 and arrangements will be made. Sunshine Brothers Clothing Wagon carries a wide display of specialized clothing for the nursing home resident as well as regular clothing. This is also a great time to pick out your Christmas gifts!! UPCOMING FAIT, EVENTS Residents be sure to watch out for the following special programs and events to be announced during the next few months. Details will be posted on the bulletin boards located near the nurse's stations. SEPTEMBER: Special entertainment by the Gospel Rays will be held on Friday, September 7th at 7 p.m. in the dining room. National Grandparents Day will be held on Sunday, September 9th. A special surprise is planned! ! Several fall outings are scheduled to see the leaves. Details to be posted. We will also be starting to prepare for the Fall Bazaar. A helping hand is always welcome. OCTOBER: Special entertainment will be provided by the East Vandergrift Senior Center, "The Singalongs",on October 22nd at 2 p.m. A Halloween hayride is planned. Details to be posted. Costume Party and Dress Up Day will be held on Halloween. Prizes will also be given for best costume. A special party will be held in the evening. Help is still needed to prepare for the Bazaar as it draws closer!!!! NOVEMBER: Bethlen Home Bazaar will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 3rd and Sunday, November 4th. Sunshine Brothers Clothing Wagon will visit on Tuesday, November 6th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the dining room. A special monthly dinner will be held. Details to be posted. Several outings will also be scheduled. Details to be posted. Christmas decorations will be put up starting November 26th. Tree trimmers wanted!!! NEWS ABOUT THE HOME "Special Congratulations" to Leslie and Elizabeth Kastle and family for becoming United States Citizens on April 6, 1990. Leslie, also known as Laci, has worked in the Maintenance Department here at the Bethlen Home since 1983. His wife, Elizabeth, has been employed at the home in the Dietary Department as one of the cooks since 1985, when she and their two daughters, Anna Marie and Klara, came to live in the United States from Romania. Congratulations once again! We are proud to have you as Citizens of the United States! The staff of Bethlen Home would like to give a warm welcome to Margaret and Zoltán Body who recently moved into one of the cottages here at Bethlen Home.
