Spring 2011 HRFA Director and Wife Celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary RFA is pleased to announce the 50th wedding anniversa­ry of one of its directors, Joe Fabri, and his wife, Peggy, who celebrated this milestone event on November 12th, 2010. Following the Hungarian uprising in 1956, Joe left Hungary and arrived in the U.S. the following year. He was sponsored by the First Hungarian Reformed Church of Hazelwood, PA. Joe and Peggy met while she attended Robert Morris College and worked at Hank’s Frozen Custard stand where she met Joe who was a customer, and he recruited Peggy to teach him English. They were married in the small Hungarian church, St. Ladislaus, by Father Stephen Kato. The couple has three daughters: Julia, Renee, and Jodi, and sons-in-law: Jeff Desantes, Sam Maldonato and Josh Fleishman. They have nine grandchildren, eight granddaughters and one grandson, all who have brought immeasurable joy to their lives. Peggy and Joe have been members of HRFA for over 30 years. Joe has served on the Board of Directors since 1996, and Peggy is a Branch Manager (151) and a Fraternal Coordinator in PA. They reside in Beaver Falls, PA and are proud that HRFA has been a part of their lives for which they have both faithfully served in a true partnership. The HRFA family wishes them many more years of marital bliss. They received a special citation from the PA House of Representatives sponsored by Rep. Jim Marshall, which made them very proud.
