Fraternity I Testvériség Branch News Branch 35—Detroit, Ml Remembering March 15, 1848 50th Anniversary Remembering March 15, 1848 One of the highest summits of Hungarian history are the events of March 15,1848 and the following one and a half years. We must make sure that w e remember the unparalleled great events, the utmost dedication of a generation past, and their unquenchable passion for freedom. In order to have a worthwhile remembrance, Katalin Varga, Branch Manager, prepared displays showing various artifacts and articles from that time period. One of them was a copy of the “Nemzeti Dal” in Sándor Petofi’s original handwriting. It was moving to hear some of our Branch members who were born here recite parts of this famous poem taught to them by their parents a long time ago. 50th Anniversary It was our pleasure to accept the gracious invitation of our long time members at Branch 35, Stephen and Elizabeth Töltési, to the lovely celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary. Their three children prepared this joyous event carefully and with much love just as they did for the 25th anniversary also. Escorted by her husband, Elizabeth entered the fellowship hall wearing her original veil. The festive evening was made memorable by the love of their children and grandchildren and by the presence of many church members and members of Branch 35. Together with them, we gave thanks to God for the five decades of their married life and asked God’s continuing guidance and blessing for Stephen and Elizabeth together with all their loved ones. Branch 151—Beaver Falls, PA 2010 Annual Senior Citizen Expo Hosted By State Representative Daryl Metcalfe April 16, 2010 Joe and I were honored by working for Rep. Daryl Metcalfe. A health and informational expo for citizens over the age of 55 was held. The event took place at the Cranberry Township Municipal Building, and there were health screenings for many different diseases. Some of the exhibitors were: UPMC Vein Institute of Pittsburgh West Penn Hearing & Audiology Passavant Fitness & Wellness Center Lungs at Work Joseph Fabri, Margaret Fabri, Rep, Daryl Metcalfe Giant Eagle - “Ask the Pharmacist” Choice Chiropractic and Wellness Center Beaver Valley Foot Clinic 15
