We met a lot of people and were also able to help educate many on health issues. A reception was held afterwards with Rep. Daryl Metcalfe who appreciated the fact that the Senior Expo donations were given by 115 participants. Ladies Luncheon February 28, 2010 Our team consisted of eight women. The church luncheon was for the widows, single moms and ladies over 55. Much planning was necessary. Our luncheon featured a winter theme with lights on the ceiling, white trees with lights, and fireplace on video tape which seemed real with a cracking fire. Many tables were decorated with snowflakes and they also hung from the ceiling. The table had cones filled with treats for each woman. The accent colors were blue and silver. There were gift bags for the people who won the games, and 35 women in all attended. Our luncheon began and when each person arrived, a picture was taken. Before lunch, I opened the service with a prayer. Lunch began with a choice of chicken soup or potato soup which were made by the ladies. Croissants of ham salad, chicken salad and egg salad were the choices, and these sandwiches were served with fruit. Desserts were orange cake and apple cake, served with coffee, tea and iced tea. When time drew to a close, all said they enjoyed the food and fellowship and felt they had connected with others which was our goal. We had shared time and successes with one another. Margaret Fabri, Branch Manager
