BRANCH NEWS BRANCH NEWS BRANCH #3 Fairport Harbor, OH. The Rt. Rev. Louis Medgyesi from Fairport, OH was happy to report upon the success of this summer’s Hungarian Reformed Youth Camp, held in July in Laurelville, PA at the Mennonite Conference Center. An annual event, the camp hosted 40 youth, 10 visitors, and staff with 25 counselors for a one- week program. Their theme promoted historical figures in the Bible that inspire youth to become spiritual heroes in their own right. Entitled “God’s Peculiar People,” the program included daily devotions and Bible studies as well as a set of “team challenge” programs where campers team up to make their own presentations. The camp also coordinated a visit to the Bethlen Home, where youth interacted with residents, toured historic Ligonier and attended a fireside meditation led by Rev. Zsolt Otvos. The campers, staff and visitors appreciate the financial and fraternal support of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America and look forward to the spiritual growth that these youth can achieve as the staff prepare for next year’s camp.
